alex 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2007 the other i watched astro channel 77 on the woman who gave birth to 6 babies?? and she showed the camera her stretch marks. omg!!! it was so huge and wrinkled. and my imaginations got better of me.to be frank, that's to be expected if you're carrying 6 babies but what about 1 baby? there's still be stretch mark, right? and last time when i was doing amway, they said the 'alano' body lotion could make the marks lighter.and my friend went for traditional massage immediately after birth. i haven't seen the tummy so i can't say for sure that it's improved. hahaha...i think not many women who gave birth already would volunteer to show their tummy to people. double my fear of having a baby.. Venni Vetti Vecci 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Hmm... I think whether u have stretch marks or not after pregnancy is genetical... some women dont ever get them and some do. And yes u cant scratch ur tummy and also ur butt. Its leave ugly marks like a watermelon. Thats what i was told.So if ur feeling itchy, put on aloe vera lotion or baby oil to soothe the itchyness. U can also lightly pat or stroke ur itchy parts.. just dont scratch hard out.U cant get rid of stretch marks 100%. I guess the only way is sugery. If ur friend has the money, she can opt for a tummy tuck. If done by a true professional, her tummy will look like she never had a baby.U can try watching Astro channel 77 for tips...As for the exercises, u can look at my blog... theres an example there. guy 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 To all of us with stretch marks, group hug... Sob SOb. They aren't great to look at and for me, they're E-V-E-R-Y where. Please please please be adviced that there is absolutely no cream that will take them away. For new stretch marks in the reddish phase, isotretinoin cream (retin-A) is supposed to help. But not conclusive. (pregnants, you can't use this when expecting). Strivectin- tried it. doesn't work, save your cash. Oils of every type- i got really smooth skin, but that didn't take away any existing marks. same with coco butter. Trust me, I've tried it all. Lately heard that there's some promise with FRAXEL laser. Expensive, but anything that gives hope is sugar to my ears. If I do get it done eventually, will keep y'all posted. God bless. Æ’atal 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 My best friend gave birth 8 mths ago. After birth she was 85kg. But then she was not working, just stay at home take care of her child so she put on weight and became 100kg!! While taking care of the baby she could not breast feed as the baby dont want. Anyway so recently, seeing my weight loss (I was 72, now 60 and I am 170cm tall so I look great!). She also wants to lose weight. She started eating less and within 1 week, lost 4kg. So she is really serious about diet and exercise now. However she says her stomach is still very saggy, still big, like pregnant. Also stretch marks. So do u guys know any method to reduce all the pregnancy fats, especially since she didnt breast feed, so she didnt lose any weight. Also, do u know any cream or lotion brand to remove stretch mark effectively? ThanksI didnt breast feed either.Best way to go is to exercise, do sit ups and leg lifts. I did my permanent hair removal(laser) for 7 times treatment, and cost after 50% discount was about RM2.3K.
