i can't just let cossie degrad the mongols like that... so i would like to share some history with everyone... the ancient mongols under the rule of Gengis Khan are actually very intelligent and civilized people... they formed the first organized army before the romans.. they defeated the chinese in the northern regions of china.. and Gengis Khan carved out an empire bigger than Alexander the Great (from the coast line on the East to the lands of the Babylons in the West (now known as Iraq)...

back to topic.. i have a feeling mr.hello here have misunderstood and therefore misinterprit some facts that he has read. I doubt a civilized civilization as the mongols would go to that extreme ends to survive.

as for the egyptians.. i think they married their cousins or uncles (probably from 2nd n 3rd generation)... they won't be stupid to marry immeadiate blood relatives coz that would spell disaster for the family.

As a fact off-springs from immeadiate blood relatives will result in retarded off-springs (God's own fail-safe system) so no sane person will produce off-spring from immeadiate blood relatives. in the case of 1st n 2nd cousins, there is also the risk but slightly lower.. but who wants to take that risk right!

and another thing, homosapiens have a built-in mechanism (its in the genes) that rejects this idea of incest (as proven by all the negative feedback) so it is hardly believable that a true incest case, like mr.hello descriped, could occur voluntarily.

on the other hand, forced incest do happen in the form of rape, others r made up act/fantasy of incest like what u would find in porn/X-rated movies. this are a few example where incest might take place but as u can see, it is more forced/induced and not done voluntarily.

I think what's right n wrong, moral or immoral n etc r pretty much developed by the society. N we r one of it too....

I remember i said something like "ppl's business is ppl's business, we're no 1 to judge their life" Falling in love with siblings seems wrong to every1(including me), but i won't deny such relationship might exist. The world is just to big for us to say where got n where not.

But h3110, one thing u might missed is that when u have a siblings a family love r automatically developed. Look at kids....the first child even if still young will likes their baby bro/sis.....it's just nature. The bond is there....

there's a good reason why society developed a set of behaviour as to what is right/wrong, acceptable/unacceptable behaviour... throughout time, experience and the accumulation of knowledge / wisdom shaped our society into what it is today... if you'll like to argue that we're just blindly following status quo, no guts to question social norms etc, then i suggest that you properly research the why behind it, back it up with facts, and submit your well thought out arguments before you start making a fool out of yourself.

Erm there is a perfectly good reason why siblings, and close relatives for that matter, shouldn't "mate" - its called the narrowing of the gene pool which results in deformities of the body as well as the brain. That's what happens when rats which are mated within direct lineage, you'll find some born with half an ear etc. That's why in clans (mostly in the days of old) where families bred amongst each other, the offspring were usually less bright and had poorer physical health.

actually i am kolot. i just act like i'm not. that is so that i can give fair viewing to all. got uncles and aunties who think i am pious and will not send me naughty things to me via e-mail. so if old folks think so, then i must be a conservative person.
