MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2008 Greeting babes,I am contemplating going to Dr. Heng for a liposelection. Normally, the doctors will be able to give more discounts if you do it together with your friend. Anyone keen? Perhaps we can get a good quotation from the doc.. MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 It breaks up fatty tissue, then removes emulsified fat with massage and gentle suction. The LipoSelection procedure leaves important tissues relatively undamaged to yield smooth, shapely results. Doctors are using the LipoSelection procedure to remove fat pockets from the abdomen, arms, back, hips, knees, love handles, neck and chin, saddlebags, thighs – any place you’ve developed a little “extra cushioning”. MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 Hi SaNdY89,It depends on the areas involved. Have to go to the doc to get the quotation. I was made to understand that it will be cheaper if you sign-up with your friend compared to yourself alone.. For more info on Dr. Heng and Vaser check out www.perfectenhancement.com. murdoc82 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 err...sorry to interrupt but may i ask why u decide to do a liposelection?tbh...i am against such thing coz i believe it can do u more harm rather than good. in my opinion...such procedure is okay if you really need help ie. those who have WAY too much fat that cannot be shed through healthy diet and exercise. but to those with lil fat here and there i think it is better to shed it naturally through healthy diet and exercise. coz if u only depends on the procedure alone to remove fat, then it will be just a matter of time before build-up of new fat and u hav to repeat the procedure again and again.at the end of the day it is a matter of personal choice but i just want ppl to stop and think carefully before deciding to go through such procedure. coz as in any sugery...there will always be surgical risk. and in my opinion such risk should be avioded at all costs, especially if it is just for the sake of beauty. MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 Thanks for your advice, murdoc82. I have tried exercises and slimming centres but to no avail. I am still unable to loose those spare tyres... Sigh...
bellesaac 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2008 MayHmd, how tall are you and how much do u weigh? if u are obese, then maybe it's worth it. i guess the surgery can be pretty expensive.
prettyugly 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2008 wanna loose weight? just skip lunch or dinner, save money and loose weight. no need to go for lipo-suction dear... there are many ways to loose weight!surgery will just cost money, cost time, cost risk, and cost you side effect. MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2008 I am neither extremely fat nor can be considered thin.. Skip lunch and dinner is just a short term measure. It is more dangerous ler and will only create yo-yo effect. First, you starve yourself and when you start eating, you tend to eat and gained back more than before. I read some articles previously saying that when we lose weight, the fat cells will only shrink but not dissapear. When you start eating, the fat cells expand and grow bigger and hence, become "fei fei" lol..
bergy76 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2008 Despite exercise, some areas may still be difficult to shake off. In many cases, lipo is the only way. There are 3 types of lipo - Tumescent Lipo, Vaser Lipo (Liposelection) and laser lipo. All three has it's pros and cons but in terms of results and less downtime, vaser is the best...but it is also the most expensive...not by that much. Dr Heng is the leading expert in vaser in malaysia. Laser lipo is actually the cheapest...but get proper people to do it as there are many quacks out there who do it for cheap. check out www.perfectenhancement.com ...has a fair bit of info on those and many other cosmetic surgery procedures and who are the best people to get it done in KL.Hope this helps

MayHmd 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 Oh, I am sorry to hear about your injury, murdoc82. Hope you will recover soon. You are right - if you used to be active in sports, once you stop, there is a tendency to gain weight faster than other ppl..
bergy76 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 I totally understand Murdoch. I had my left knee anterior cruciate ligaments reconstructed 15 months ago and I still can't run. At least he can play badminton. I have no confidence in my knee...feels like it can go at anytime if I play sports. I've asked a few people and they say it shouldn't be painful after so long. Anyway, I ain't going under the knife again. Trying to hit the gym...once I gain my quads back maybe things will improve...sigh. Anyway, this is out of the forum topic:)

PM me if you wanna tag along Hi May, sounds like a plan... where and when.... doing at specialist's clinic would only be viable if they have proper facilities. I have 2 concerns,1) this liquid that is put in, what is the possibilities of it infecting the lungs, i read cases on this2) do you know if this procedure can be done under local anestetics, if yes i think is the best option.cheers

The tumescent fluid that is injected in lipos is done to help with vasoconstriction (shrinking blood vessels and therefore less bleeding), help break up the fat and also provide anaesthesia. If an untrained surgeon does this, there is a possibility that the fluid might be injected into the lungs...this is an unacceptable complication and no trained surgeon should do this. Your second question I answered in your PM but yes, it can be done under LA but not really advisable.

I'm involved quite closely in the cosmetic surgery industry hence I do know something about it.
