Daphsta 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2007 It may sound like a myth but applying vaseline jelly on your eyelashes will make it grow longer. Actually when your lashes fall off, the new one that grows will be longer and thicker. I am trying to see if the theory holds true.

saffron 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2007 Won't Vaseline give you oil seeds around the eye area in the long run?Though you don't exactly smear them on your eyes (just the lashes), you're still bound to have them rub off on the eye area...right? Selfairy 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 I use a clean mascara wand to apply the vaseline to my lashes. And it really does work! It smears, occasionally, when I put too much, but don't have any oil seeds around my eyes. Thank god.. LoL..
Petite Cherie 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 Vaseline jelly? like the ones they sell in tubs in pharmacy? i guess it might work coz lotion does too. but i think like saffron said, it might create oily seeds round ur eye. try do it weekly? Sze 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 I've heard the same with castor oil. Apparently makes your lashes and eyebrows thicker and longer if you apply it to the lashes and brows everyday.
frolic_pjann 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 just like hair.. when u apply oil (i guess) but i think it's better to use those specifically for eyelashes - i.e. eyelash serum etc
Daphsta 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 I have heard that castor oil doesn't work as well as Vaseline jelly does.
Sze 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2007 I have heard that castor oil doesn't work as well as Vaseline jelly does.Hmm, I don't know about that, since I've never tried any of them before, but castor oil is supposed to be good for your eyesight so even if it gets in your eyes.... ^^
DEVILtonight 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 i tried this, and it does seem like my eyelash is slightly longer... but i think it irritates my eyesa little, lol
cherriegal 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 How to you remove vaseline actually? by using make up remover, or it'll be removed when we wash our face?

mintmentos 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 well, I don't really think vaseline is good for your eye area... Eye area very sensitive, if product used is not suitable, will cause milia seeds and its not easy to get rid of them..For stronger lash, u can try Shu Uemura's Lash Repair..
