I thought skin turns fairer because of melanin? natural occuring dark pigments under ur skin? For those who live in countries with hot climates, skin turns darker to protect u from skin cancer and for those who live in cold climates,ur skin turns fairer so that ur body can absorb vitamin D cozof the lack of sunshine.......
