I suggest that you visit Ko Skin Specialist as well for second opinion. I have spoken to the Doc that will actually perform the treatment and have made an appointment to see her next week to ask a few more questions before decision making.

BTW, have you visited dermagenesis?

Im not around KL for the moment so not yet visit to dermagenesis.

dont try dermagenesis. i went before. and i signed the package 4650( promotions price).

4 laser + 3 dermabrasion.

no results at all(scar) but the skin get fairer. thats all. and i asked them to show me the pic when in the consultation. but they said cant. but when the time i do my first treatment, then they did take my picture.

I went for my first treatment 10 days ago. I signed up for 4 treatments. 2nd treatment will be in early July.

Before treatment

No preparation is required just show up at the clinic.

They will take a before treatment picture.

BTW, you can ask the doctor to show you the before and after picture of their patient.

During treatment

Before the actual laser treatment, they will clear your face of blackheads, whiteheards, pimples/acnes.

They will apply aneasthetic cream on your face and leave it on for 30 mins.

Then an injection to make you sleep apparently. I think I should skip this for future treatments as (1) it does not make me sleepy at all; (2) the treatment is not painful at all (to my surprise).

Then of course the laser treatment.

The whole session lasted about 1.5 - 2 hours.

After treatment

This is the scary part.

Face did not turn red immediately. After an hour or so/after taking cold shower, my face turn red (like steamed loabster). A few hours later, swelling is visible.

Then, need to apply quite a lot of stuff on your face (such as quick recovery cream, lightener, toner, mosturiser, SUNBLOCK). Sun block is very very important.

If you still have acne, be prepared for an outbreak for first few days. They will give you a medicine to prevent acne. I did not take it as I am worried of side effects.

To date, I still have the redness, i guess it will take longer for it to go away. They claimed it takes 3-5 days.

Improvement I see: -

1. Less visible scar. About 20% improvement. Dun expect miracle. For me, I am quite happy with the improvements of scar on my cheek, a lot lighter before the treatment.

2. Less oily skin. I was surprised that it actually make my face less oily.

3. Pores are smaller. I have pretty large pores. So, I am hoping that the next 3 treatments will help improve the pores.

what type of laser treatment did u do? certain laser treatment like cooltouch and smoothbeam needs 10-12 sessions to see visible result.

the dr said there's 2 type that would give me what i need which is to remove acne scars.

one costs RM300 which removes acne scars ONLY.

and another one costs RM1800 which removes scars & pigmentation, and makes skin looks younger.

i did the RM300 one & the dr gave discount. only RM250.

i met the dr for smthg else.

n then he asked whether i wanna get rid of the scars.

n i say yes ryte away. 5 mins after that, the laser trtmnt started.

Yours didn’t work? How many times did you go for these treatments? You have to go for these treatment consistently to see results, otherwise you’ll be wasting your $. Which clinic did you go to?

in my opinion, demabrasion & peeling makes the scars worse

but my opinion applies if the scar is not 100% healed.

if it's still healing, better not go for dermabrasion & peeling.
