Please see the comments at the link: http://www.malaysianbabes.net/forum/index....showtopic=31965
personally i not recommends to visit Chua specialist at puchong, below is my experience of visit that clinic.

i had visit the chua skin specialist last month due to the skin damage by sun, blood test cost rm 200, spf cost rm 180, total bill cost 500++, the effect just lasting for 3 days, untill now 1 month pass i cannot see any result, everything still the same, redness all the time on my face, and the worst now have many acne problem which last few month never happen, i will never ever visit that clinic again, never, first the charges ridiculous, second i cannot see the effect, third bring me more skin problem, forth the doctor never explain what is the medication and what is the cream for? and the cream using like recycle infill no descript, the cream turn my oily skin become very oily skin. last i can say the doctor only want to make the fast money from the patient.

i would like to take this opportunity to reply to this quotation which contain inaccurate and misleading information bout my clinic services. the person who see me supposably has sunburn is actually suspected of having systemic lupus erythematosis cos of malar rash on both cheek. www.emedicine.com check SLE. this kind of condition can be life threatening if not detected early and the person has gone under sun for prolong period of time overseas and this can trigger of things lilke kidney failure etc. therefore the need extensive blood test to rule out this and any damage resulted. luckily all are negative which is good news for him.but doesnt mean he has no skin problem. in fact he has a sun related chronic actinic eczema/dermatitis www.emedicine.com check CAD chronic actinic dermatosis which not commonly diagnosed in tropical countries here unfortunately. these kind of patient need good sunblock and medication to prevent worseing which can lead to a thick coarse skin. is a solar dermatosis, sun related problem. when i see him the second time my notes said he is getting better, blood report taken and explain. i hv also called the person involved and to clarify my concern on his health and the rational of it. i hope ppl dun see me as a quick buck person without any basis of treatment.

for reader info, i dun advertise in this website. never. i dun wan anyone to accuse me of advertising in this website. just wan this website to b a good consumer guide to treatment, hope all reader give accurate info for benefit of all. thank you.

Hi guys, i am posting again to clarify some matters..

When i went to Dr Andrew Chua, my nails was actually shedding besides chapped, i went some research in the net and even asked my Physician, turns out that its not a small problem, actually my problem is called onychomadesis, its a rare weakening of nails. And Dr Chua is doing right by recommending a mosturiser for my problem as thats the only available prescription for my rare problem.Upon chatting with my Physician, seems that Dr Andrew was actually charging me both the mosturiser and consultation fee much cheaper than the market price.

I think its only fair that i voice this out as I do not wish other myb to think he is not a good doctor or that he charge exhorbitantly due to my misjudgement in my previous post.

Tq...

I guess its fair i repost this at this thread as well....

If that is the case, 60 is not overcharged..it is the standard for most skin specialists (although some are cheaper)...hehe

I was also a burn patient of this Puchong clinic and please be informed that Dr. Desmond who claimed to be a doctor is not a doctor at all.
He is just a normal laser maintenance guy as a friend of mine who works in NeoAsia told me about it.

Another thing is that Chua Skin treatment is not advance cause all the laser machines he uses are out of date, compare to Ko Skin in Klang.

His consultation are very misleading and over promise to patients.... no proper post care product and after Sales service very bad....

not just malaysian medical council, we must check if the specialist is registered by national specialist registration www.nsr.org.my laser done by dermatologist are rm 1200 one time. this is the standard price for fractional laser.

pls check ur dr credential at nsr website, u can get their qualification, etc fr it.

as for desmond, he has been termination fr chua skin specialist clinic since 11 sept 09, where he was employ as laser technician since may 08 to 11 sept 09 under employment contract, any suggestion tat he is dr is therefore a bridge of his employment contract, is not part of his work or duty, be bogus dr

fractional laser should b done by proper qualified dr eg dermatologist. list of dermatologist can be found in www.dermatology.org.my malaysian dermatologist official website, only real derm registered there.

btw july to sept 11, clinic chua patient care has been compromised by beligerant staffs which has all been terminated, those staff insist on doing things the non legal way.

the hse is in order now with new team of nursing staff and experienced staff who can handle enquiry and assist in treatment, i must say the previous staff left the clinic in a complete mess, so much for their professionalism, as u can see why they r not extended,

the mess has been sorted now, u all can come and visit or call in to find out urself,no obligation required. luckily patient flow, patient consultation and treatment was not compromise during the oct chaotic time. surprisingly sales is better even though saving on medication has been pass on, i wonder wat happen wen during previous staff time, patient flow was similar but sales collected and bank in was much less, wonder where the sales has gone to. this has not been the first time for their Reign, similar things happen at clinic ko where they used to work, u can ask dr ko bout it.

thank you very much for those who has given the suggestion, criticism, etc which was taken seriously and acted on eg above. pls call to give ur suggestion to clinic, in fact there is a suggestion box in clinic chua since apr 08 at registration counter which i encourage any one to drop comment to us to improve service to all

further more, patient care is not compromise as an experienced derm dr employed since august 09 initially sat now more session now due to demand to help see patient and allow procedures to run concurrently without much waiting time, the skin dr is experienced derm dr with overseas experience and good patient dr relationship.

this is the type of improvement we want to provide to patients, tat speak for all clinic ie continual improvement of services and quality of services

computerisation of clinic is underway in full force, so bring ur mykad to let mykad reader take up ur patient data.

intensive training for new team is underway with 2 weekly training and regular update on medical knowledge to staff.

some beutician services may b not available eg extration for time being till staff r suitably train
