Dyeing Hair

Recommended Posts

I want to ask you babes for opinion.

I have still have color on my hair and I would like to change the shade.

This is very damaging, I know but I don't want to do bleaching though as my hair is already quite damaged.

But yet I still want a new shade.

What would you girls suggest?

I plan to buy those home-kit dye from watsons and see how it goes.

Any recommended brands? Garniere? L'oreal Feria?? Etc...

Is it necessary to have it done professionally at a salon?

Or is a home-kit just enough? :D

Hoping for some reply here. :praisegod:

i think it would be better to get it done profesionally cos u still have some colour on your hair....if u do it yourself, u might not do it properly and still have the old shades left...and try not to bleach your hair...cos my hairdresser also advice me against bleaching hair cos it's really very very very damaging for the hair....

seek hairstylist for professional advice, althou they might not be correct 100%, but try to describe more bout ur status (including history) of ur precious hair. and i believe they will do a better coloring job than d-i-y at home. (at least the proportion of color is even)

its quite pricey if u wan to do it in hair salon but we pay for their professional service n sometimes u can negotiate with them, if u're regular u can ask for free treatment for 1st visit after ur coloring done.

some salon will say the hairtreatment which is given free will be done on the same day u do coloring.

so it depends..

weird tho, cos i used to dye my hair almost every 2 weeks. diy n it always turns out superb. unless i want highlights i seek the professionals. then again, dont bleach. its dry n damaging.

if ure unsure on how to diy, dont. n use plenty of hair mask & conditioner.

as for me i'm gonna retire from hair dye. hahha.. gotten lazy to touch up each time.

Get it done professionalyl as u still have some color on ur hair. if u diy, then the color won't come out even. i've tried it on my mum and the results are just weird, luckily the color tone not so obvious

Thanks to all the babes for the advise. :D

Yeah, I do know that having it professionally done is better but pricy.

Perhaps I'll nurture my hair back to health before i start damaging it again. Hehe... ^_^

Thanks babes! :praisegod:

Of course profesionally!

No way I will do it myself!

I wont risk having patches here and there...

I rather pay for pro work

I often use Loreal colours...

And before I put on any colour...

I always put on a bottle of milk coloured amphile...its called power care...

It is a teeny tiny bottle that cost rm120

But it works wonder from protecting my hair against the chemicals in colours

i also vote professional. last time i tried to do it myself at home turn out not good. the color not even, like irishbaby said patches here and there. plus if u get it done professionaly, they will do some kinda treatment after colouring.
