Bad Experience with Kimarie Sg. Wang

Recommended Posts

I've been a long-term customer to this salon which I've been using their services nearly 10years and NEVER AGAIN!

I visited the salon last week for regular hair trim and was attended with a male stylist, X. Stylist X used to cut my hair several times and he could recognized me just after some simple chats. After the regular hair-texture check, stylist X said that my scalp is in EXTREMELY unhealthy condition and an URGENT scalp treatment is definitely needed. I usually give heed to hair stylists' advice and take up their recommended treatments undoubtedly but I was rushing for a date that day so I refused his suggestion politely and yet he never gave up.

He moved on to further elaborate that my sensitive scalp would one day become open-wound and finally it could lead to bald-headed at very young age. I've to admit that I do suffer from seasonal dandruff problem due to stress at work and I don't think that my scalp condition is that bad afterall!!! At least it's never itchy and it doesn't hurt at all. I wonder why he has to curse me this way?!?!!? Stylist X insisted that I should do scalp scanning to see the difference of before and after treatment. I rejected him for the second time and thanked him for his concern and that if the condition is this bad I should better go for a skin specialist. Stylist X stopped talking to me right away and started cutting my hair. There's not anymore conversation and eye contacts between us. At this moment I could see his drastic change of facial expression. I didn't give a darn and continue with my magazine as I no longer feel comfortable being under this atmosphere. I just want to get my hair done ASAP and be out of the salon!!!

After the cut he leaded me to the washing sink for hair wash and that's where my nightmare started! Stylist X scratched my scalp so hard that I could feel that he's releasing his tension/anger on my head!!! After struggling in tears for 10min it's finally done. I thought that's the end of this stress but not! When he toweled dry my hair I noticed that he skipped the conditioner step after washing and started to comb my hair VIOLENTLY!!! (I wonder if the salon has changed policy of not providing Conditioner anymore or it's Stylist X's decision for not using it!) I have very long hair, to waist length so you girls can imagine the pain. I can never forget how much it hurts the entire process of combing and blow drying. I'm very shy in-person and I don't have the guts to complaint Stylist X right at the time, which I now feel very much regreted. I'm now writing this here to share with you girls, at the same time to release my anger too. Edited by louiza

Ouch!Thats a bad experience.
What u could do now is to named that stylist so other babes here are more aware so they wont fall prey to this stylist and be aware of him if they frequent his saloon

OH Louiza so pity u! what a horrible experience...

I know what u mean by too shy to complain sad.gif I'm also like that. Especially in public places, don't dare to cause attention.

Don't worry there are other non-shy ways to do complain!

First you must write a official complain letter to the saloon, telling them your experience and who the stylist is.

Tell them you expect the best service from them and have been their regular customer for XXXX time.

But because of this Stylist & his hard selling on "scalp XXXXX treatment" which u reject (don't need give reasons why right.. it's your right to reject or accept, your money mah)
the stylist begin to show dissatifaction through the service he give you, which:

1. conditioner not given while hair wash, is this new procedure?
2. rough washing and scratching of your scalp/head/hair
3. rough combing & blow drying

Do highlight it was not the usual service you receive from being a customer here (this shows u know the difference is not just pms-ing when complaining)
It was ROUGH/ETC/PAINFUL.

Demand for apology or just report this to them n see what they do.

You can also demand back what u pay that day, since the service was... =_= unprofessional and painful.

If the shop don't apologize or reply your letter/email.

Highlight to Malay Mail Hotline (u can buy the newspaper n check the section, call up or email/fax your complaint to malay mail n give the shop number. Malay Mail will call shop up n address your issue)
Then this matter will be published in the newspaper for everyone to see what kinda shop this is =_=!!!! huhuhhuuh

What happen to u is very unfair and is very commmon.. AH BENG fight back tecnique..

Dear Louiza,

On behalf of Kimarie Salon SWP, I'd like to sincerely apologize for your unpleasant experience, something which no one should be subjected to. As we take top priority in customer service, we view this matter seriously and would like to launch a full investigation into what had transpired so that we can take the appropriate action in reprimanding the stylist in question. I’d like to validate a few things before doing that – please do not in any way think that I’m doubting your story, but I believe everyone deserves a fair trial and as such, I’d like to seek your kind assistance in providing me with the following details for me to launch the investigation:

1. Can you provide me with the name of the stylist? If you cannot recall, perhaps you could describe his physical attributes, age, etc. Anything will help.
2. Can you recall the exact day of the week you were there?
3. Did he show you a scanning machine when he suggested to show you the before/after results? I ask this because we do not have a scalp scanning machine in our Sungei Wang Plaza branch so I’m really intrigued by this.

Rest assured that I will give you a satisfactory answer and if you’d be so kind enough to accept, a fair compensation in a form that I’m in the position to provide. If you’re not comfortable providing the details here, you can email me directly at vincent@kimarie.com.my or call me (or our Administrator Rose Wong if I’m not around) at 03 – 2148 0800.

Our sincere apologies once again. Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

Regards,
Customer Care
