nemo 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2006 I stopped wearing contact lens coz of the eyes infection due to contact lenses - I was using the disposable lenses. The doctor told me not to wear contact lenses anymore. He said once allergy will cause the eyes allergy for long. So i hv to wear glasses now, think of doing lasik but i'm very scared of it. My eyes will have some redness eventhough i have stopped wearing contact lenses for more than a year. Does anyone encounter this before? Any solutions to get rid of the redness? my doctor did give me some eye drops but it doesn't work for me. Would like to check with another eye specialist see if i can wear the contact lens coz myweddng day is approaching soon . Does anyone here have the contacts ? Many Thanks. liv 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2006 now that's weird.....cos last time i ever have an infection also, very stupid also, i had infection cos i thought i havent took out my contacts yet cos the contact drop when i took it out, and i was darn sleepy so i poke my eyes again and it was red for a few days, and the doctor prescribe with some eye ointment and it was fine after that....it is not permanent like what u describe your condition is.....very weird...maybe u should go see a specialist again to get your eyes checked since the redness is still there despite not wearing contacts for so long... Cel 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2006 I started having this problem a few weeks ago. My eyes turned very red when I wear contact lenses. The optometrist told me to stay away from contact lenses for a few days cause I have developed some kind of eye allergy, which I did and the redness slowly disappeared. A week after that, I wore contacts again for one day and the redness returned. I stayed away from contacts for two weeks and wore it again today. My eyes turned very red again I don't know why it's like that. Never had such problems in the past. My eyes are kinda sensitive though

ladyjo 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2006 nemo ---> you should visit another specialist to get a second or maybe even a third opinion.it is very perculiar indeed that you girls eyes go red every time you put on a contact lenses. Have you all tried a different solution as well as different brand of disposable lenses? Some of the opticians do give out free trial pair of disposable lenses. All the best

My friend went through it before.now her eyesight are deteriorating.....

beeboo 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 same suggestions for rene.. Optix 02 is really good. extra oxy and keeps ur eyes from getting dry.. pretty good. one minus point.. it's about 2x more expensive than normal lenses but few friends also say worth it if other contacts are no good to u
