fluene 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 I am using this product and have my facial there too. I find it is good. Price wise is comparabel to others. Value for money is good. Of all products, beauty centre, beauty counters, etc, the SA told me I hav eoily skin thus must control my oiliness. I did, for a good many years but my skin just got from bad to worse with acnes popping up like volcanos. Only NY skin says mine is dry skin (although I have acnes and my face is basically shiny from oil). NY skin told me not to use any products for oily or combination skin. Must use product for dry skin. I was a bit sceptical at first because, everyone can see that my face is like an oily pan. Anyway, I followed their advise and my skin is so much better now. It shows that they really know their job

fluene 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 Jas, they won't call you. You are better off call them and make an appointment instead. Don't worry, the promotion (RM48 I think ) still applies for first timer be it appointment by phone or internet. The outlet that I went to is Mid Valley. My face is much clearer and brighter now. Acne scars still got a bit because my acne problem was quite severe last time. Can't expect the scars to clear up in just few months right? By the way, I started going there in Jan this year. Needless to say, the SA always try to askme to sign up this, buy this, buy that. Anyway, which beauty centre don't? The bottomline is, their products work and I am please with the result. St. Even 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2007 (edited) I went for the trial today and am quite satisfied with the results. The threrapist was good too. It felt that she's competent. Apparently she's worked at Leonard Drake before for 4 years. Nevertheless I didn't like the way she kept trying to persuade me to buy their package. She also told me that if I left today without signing their contract, I'll not get the student price (30% off) when I come back. I don't know how far it's true. I read a lot of negative comments on NYSS on the internet after coming home, like NYSS' products have QC problems, they use unethical business tactics, they hard-sell, they cause many people's face to worsen or no improvement at all, they've been sued before etc etc. These made me think twice about going there for treatments. I've paid RM 100 deposit and will have to pay a total of RM 500 by the end of the month. The cost for 5 facials is RM 980 after 30% discount.I honestly don't know if I should go ahead with the treatments. The last thing I want is a ruined face. I did see the positive results after the first facial. But the products could be too strong. I hope not. I'm spending a lot on NYSS and I really, really want it to work!Does anyone have anything to say about this? Please voice out if you have found anything suspicious with NYSS. shayna 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2007 wow... i was just about to make an appointment with nyss when i read what was posted bt st. even regarding the negative comments about nyss. is it that expensive? i'm not that loaded but i really really really need a facial for my skin prob. don't you guys have any other facial clinic that you guys might suggest? i can't afford RM980. my student loan aren't even half of the cost. St. Even 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2007 (edited) Facials are that expensive at well-known skincare centres. If you can't afford that, then centres like Leonard Drake, Adonis, Bella, Cellnique and NYSS are definitely not what you're looking for. Go for those that are of smaller scale but still get a lot of positive comments from clients. Do you have an acne-prone complexion? Then you should be even more careful because all facial therapists will do extraction. If the tools aren't sterile enough, or the products don't suit your skin, or the therapist isn't competent enough, you'll end up ruining your face and having to see a dermatologist. michelle88 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 hmm.. just joined NYSS few weeks back. i'm using their facial product for acne skin. (cleanser, toner (balancing and purifying) and moisturizer) so far my face is improving. althought i might say the way they do business is VERY pushy. somehow, i'm kinda satisfied with the result after the 4th treatment. 11 more to go.. wish me luck.. ^^

dee 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 i think NYSS is expansive. although the first trial is RM48 or so, its only to attract you in.. and then persuade you to sign their course. st. even, i think Rm980 is really expansive for 5 facials. i normally pay RM160 for a treatment facial which is considered very good already. of course there are cheaper range. fluene 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 I have my facial treatments in NYSS. So far so good and my skin improves a lot. People around me also noticed it. Initially I use their products. After my skin got better, I stopped using their products and use the one I prefer instead and my skin maintain the improvement. I think everywhere you go, the sales person will persuade you to sign up their package. The thing is you have to be firm and let them know what you want or don't want. After I stopped using their products, the SA persuaded me to buy their products again but then I told them no, I prefer my own choice. After that they never pester me anymore.
