  4. thanks yeah, I've never worn falsies for normal times too. just not used to it. lol. always worrying that it will fall off or something. anyways, if you do wanna try falsies in the day time, I highly recommend a falsie where the lashes are criss crossing. that actually looks quite natural and very pretty. I just bought mine and I really like it. I'll post pics when i've actually worn it for a day. I need to get a proper glue first >.< thanks! you should! it's so much fun. haha. the sticky tape really makes it easier to get a shape but I think i prefer when i do the shape myself. more flexible.
  5. you're welcome! mere de la mer? sorry but I haven't heard of that. what is it? that's good to hear. all the moisturizers (creme, gel, lotion, oil absorbing lotion) contain the same amount of Miracle Broth which is the ingredient that heals the skin and all that. Thus. the effect in healing wise is all the same for all moisturizers. Personally, I do not like the gel is because I have dry skin. thus, the creme is of course much better for me to heal my dryness. so, don't worry. the gel creme, will work the same. but of course, if you have concern with dryness, then you may not feel satisfied in the sense of healing the dryness. but if you're using it for the purpose of achieving a creaseless face and fading scars, the gel creme will work just as good. and to those who had qualms of the La Mer creme causing breakouts. I forgot to mention this. slipped my mind. lol. if you have breakouts and red bumps, it may actually be the creme purifying the skin as it contains antioxidants. thus, breakouts may occur for the purpose of detoxifying the skin. i would suggest to continue using the cream for another week and see if you continue to have breakouts. if you do still have breakouts, then you should go see your consultant again.
  6. awh.. thanks. *shucks* yeah, I do love mineral pigments. MMU I have mostly eye colors. I do have blush and foundation just for the sake of it but I still prefer the conventional cake blush and liquid foundation. lol. less hassle. But I use mineral pigments alot more than I use eyeshadows just because the colors are so beautiful and the pay off is excellent. MAD has awesome colors for the eyes. they're colors are really sharp. Sweetscents have a cheaper range but they're not as pigmented, IMHO. but then again, I always use it with a base so it doesn't really matter. I cheated by using cellotape for the sharp corners. as for dropping.... I use a base first (either an eye base or pigments + mixing medium as base) so that when I apply the pigments, they don't fall as much. and try tapping the color onto the lids first before blending to avoid falloffs.
  7. give it time. personally, I've used the concentrate and cream on my scars. worked wonderfully. lol. I'm still keeping my boil scar on my leg (which I didn't treat) as a reminder of how badly my face would've been if it wasn't for la mer cream. I dunno la. I work for many brands, but I'm passionate about the cream. I sell from my heart. lol. corny, I know. personally, I when I use the gel creme I no feel la. probably cuz I'm used to using the creme. I hope it works out for you yeah, la mer worked for me because I have eczema skin so it really helped to control it, smoothen out my skin, healed my scars. just love it. now that my skin's in good condition, even though all my other skin care I use are pharmacy brands, my skin still looks good. when the cream heals it truly heals so that you don't depend on the cream to look good. now I only use the cream when I'm having my "bad skin" moments. other than that I just use pharmacy brand. that's why I love the cream so much. it strengthened my skin. I'm using the original creme de la mer. I believe that since that's the one and only product that Max Huber created (everything else are created in the lab), it's the one with the true miracle. If you read their brochure, notice that all the other products have scientific technology explanations BUT the creme de la mer section has practically no scientific explanations. because they can't explain it. it's just a mystery. lol.
  8. I'll announce it here if they have the set again. in a year sure got at least twice that they have the set. but honestly, unless you're interested in totally switching brands, not much point getting the set as you'll end up not using most of the products. I think that happens with most sets!! it's a gimmick to get us to buy more. they came out with a new gel-creme which is much more suitable for oily skin. It's oil free and contains no mineral oil thus it's much much much less likely to cause breakouts. ok, I'll speak from an SA's point of view here. The samples are actually controlled by the management (office) people. We're not allowed to "throw" samples to customers and we're discouraged to give samples because firstly, the samples are expensive and it causes a lot of problems with non-genuine customers. We have encountered many problems where customers take advantage of getting samples that to the point they never had any intention at all of buying. just want samples. Imagine, there are even customers who can afford to buy but they just want something FREE and would actually refuse to buy the product unless they get samples. makes you wonder if they actually want the product or just samples. I really dunno. it's a malaysian thing. I know. because I'm disgracefully like that too. and my mom also, got nice free gift only buy. haha. maybe i'm abit like here lol. there are customers that would threaten to sue just because of a sample. and la mer, being a prestigious brand with no gift with purchase policy, simply giving out samples will affect the image. we gift one person, then the person calls the whole kampung to come and take samples. how are we to refuse? "the other day you gave my friend, how come you can't give me?". and then we get sued. the lengths people go to for samples. of course, there are people who are really genuine but we're very very sorry if we've offended you but it's really really hard to tell who's genuine or not. Usually, if you don't plainly mention that you want sample and actually sit down for a full consultation, being genuine and just plain honest, chances are they'll offer you a sample. because they'll know that you truly just need help. another example of a brand that won't give you samples is Benefit cosmetics. try going by there and asking for samples, chances are they won't give you unless you buy something. as an SA, I can give samples... but then I'll get complained to the office blablabla.. well, I have to keep my job, so to speak. I try not to cause trouble. but of course, many times we are short of samples because they are actually exclusively kept to be sent out to customers as birthday gifts when they register. I hope you get what i mean. it's hard for many consumers to understand, but if you're thinking in a position of a seller, you may understand. it's worth it if you can afford it and if you get the product that is right for you. the cream may not be for everyone, it works for some, it may not for some. there's no guarantee with cosmetics. probably you're sensitive towards mineral oil. the gel creme may be more suitable for you. Please go back to the counter where you bought the lotion from, let them know that you got breakouts and you're allergic to it, they'll be able to refund for you. That's one thing good with la mer, if you buy the product and you get an allergic reaction, you can return it. I doubt you can do that with many other cosmetic brands. They can't refund you in cash though. because the department store won't allow it. they can only refund in form of store vouchers or exchange of product. as consumers, be aware of any problems that you encounter with the products that you're using. it's not a malaysian thing to complain straight to the company about a particular product. most of us just boycott the brand completely which is silly. take action and complain to the company about the product. then only you can see improvement right?
  9. anonymousmich: the falsies look great on you! I still can't get the hang of falsies cheeeezie: your FOTDs are very nice. I've checked out your blog. I think it's been awhile since I've posted so here's mine. was playing around with sticky tape: Items Used: (All Pigments) MAD Cream Eyeshadow in Bare Necessity MAD Big Money, Pizzazz, Paparazzi, Chance, Wedding, Spruce Secretsummer Mauved Pink (Used Wet) Kate Gel Eyeliner in BK2 Clinique Lash Power Mascara thanks for looking!
  10. i haven't experienced it before but my mom has. she paid RM98 armpit hair removal. in the brochure it claimed that it'll last for a year.. balbalbla. but as it turns out, 98 is only for the trial and for the hair removal to last a year u have to do it several times... so my mom was like, fine, she'll just try the trial. ask can last how long. the girl said 2 weeks. after 3 days... armpit hair come out. lol
  11. i went on thursday. I think they only had KATE on the weekends *sobs*
  12. Origins has an AMAZING cleanser for combi skin called Checks and Balances. very refreshing, clean but doesn't make the skin feel dry. and you only use very very little amount to have alot of lather. for combi skin you must target your cleansing and scrubbing as well as moisturizing. focus drying stuff (cleansing, toning, scrubbing) on the t-zone while moisturizing more of the cheeks.
  13. we got there around 9.30. supposed to start at 10. so we queued pretty long but not as bad as those who came at 10. pure pure madness lol. the shu brushes not much left by the time I managed to "look" at the counter. only the eyebrow comb brush. some people take so much blushers like they wanna use and dye their shirts or something. lol! I asked my friends who managed to squeeze through to get the blushers for me. I couldn't make it to the first line of the shu counter even. so I was just wedged in the crowd, chit chatting with my fellow wedged neighbours. lol.
  14. eye concentrate available in malaysia. RM630 for 15ml. I wouldn't praise the heavens for the effect. Many customers love it and sometimes when I try it on them, there's INSTANT difference in brightness. But personally, I use.. tada rasa. lol! I prefer the eye balm but will be discontinuing. hmm... so my advise would be to stop by the counter to actually try it on your eyes. feel feel abit.
  15. I went there about 12pm. a short queue for the cosmetics. luckily they separated the cosmetic section because the cashiers for other metro stuff we ridiculously long!! the fragrances were good deal although I couldn't get the one that I wanted which was I Loewe you. The cosmetics most quite good deals like the averine... revlon was very cheap but must be careful cuz some stuff liike the mascaras are dried up and the foundations already change color. but I got 2 skinlights illuminizers only RM5 each. very nice! averine was cheap. I got the loose powder and compact only RM10 each. got about 9 items for only RM60+. But the advert bluff me. I went there don't have Kate
