(those small cups that usually comes with the rice cooker one k eheh)200ml Coconut Milk (recommended 200ml, but if u dislike the strong taste of coconut milk then perhaps u may lessen them a bit. I often used approximately 160ml)A few screwpine leaves (pandan leaves) -- wash, tie and give em a lil punch eheh1 (or 1/2) inch of gingerOnion cut into half(use only half)half teaspoon of salt ]anchovies chilli paste (sambal ikan bilis)Chile Paste or Dried Chillies -- soaked n blend (for those who do not like it too spicy can soaked in warm water for approximately 5 mins or so) 2 spoons of coconut milk4 tablespoon of olive oil (normal oil also can)7 medium shallots (or u can just use the other half onion)5 cloves of garlic garlics (blend together with onions n ginger)Slice of gingeranchovies --- washed salt to taste3 tablespoon of white sugar (lessen the sugar if u like it spicy)1 table spoon of oyster sauce1/4 cup of tamarind juiceOthers6 boiled eggs 1 cucumber1 cup of salted or unsalted peanuts1 cup of fried anchovies (ikan bilis)Here's how you do it Rice1)Wash and drained the rice. Add water and the rest of the ingredient into the electric rice cooker and wait for it to cook. Try and loosen/stir the rice once in awhile to make sure the ingredient blend well.Chile Paste1) Heat 4 tablespoon of oil.2) stir in onions. wait until fragrant, add anchovies and chile paste..wait for 2 minutes, then add tamarind juice, oyster sauce, sugar and salt to taste and coconut milk. add some water if the sauce is too dry. wait for at least 10-15 minutes to cook. and its ready!3) Lastly, scoop the rice to your plate, serve withs chile paste and garnish with boiled eggs, little bit of peanut, little bit of anchovies and few slices of cucumber. emmmm yummm!!
