my uncle also had blood but not after shit

it was in his urine

it happened few times

but he thought that it was just a small matter

so he didn't bother

one day he decided to go to a doctor...

he was diagnose with cancer... final stage and it had spread from his kidneys to his lungs to many places

test results showed that he had the most aggressive cancer cells somemore

well, he's now living happily without anymore pain in somewhere far away

so my advice to u is don't delay

go to a doctor a.s.a.p

it might help much more...

girl,

don't be afraid yet.

i'm a 3rd year medical student, so, my advise is go to a doctor.

i don't know what exactly ur symptoms is..... blood after shit....does it mix with the stool? of just purely come after u defecate? is it a lot? do u feel pain? is the blood blackish in colour or pure red?

all these is essential for u to tell the doctor.... just once or everytime u defecate??

don't be afraid..... usually if u r young, it's most probably a tear after a hard stool, or piles.

cancer normally happened at the age of more than 50-60 years old.( although youger patient also got la....but it's not that frequent and it's associated with a family history of colon cancer(first line relatives))

so, don't be too worry first.....go to a doctor for consultation!!! hope this could help!

or u can answer me all those question that i've written...then i can roughly tell u what is it. i just finished my surgery posting...n all these colon cancer or piles thing r still fresh in my mind....

:)

Let's not scare the poor girl. I faced similar problem before and it lasted me few months. Of course, all kind of thoughts came to my mind...constipation, haemorrhage, cancer etc etc. Now the problem is gone cos I make an effort to drink more fluids. I believe that lack of water was the cause of the blood.

I would advise you to drink more water. If the problem still persist or worsens, go consult a doctor.

this is what u should really see...what is the colour of the blood....eg is it bright red or is it dark in colour...then does it mix with shit properly or is it just like a few drops on top of the shit? gastric? no gastric wont cause blood in stool....unless it's ulceration of the duodenum but then it would be black stool, not really bloody....my guess would be mostly piles/haemorrhoid....do u have constipation when u are shitting? or does it feel painful when u are shitting that time? piles/haemorrhoid is like something protruding outta your anus, or sometimes it's not protruding but then u will feel the pain when u have constipation and u will have blood also.....

of cos best is go consult a doc....well u can always consult a clinic first...and if u are worried about the cause, then maybe u can go to government one....hope these can help...

ok jass....don't be too scared about it first. colon cancer is not so common in younger age grp ( unless u have family history of that), urs is most probably a pile/ hemorrhoid.

but anyhow, i would strongly suggest u to consult a doctor.i don't know those ordinary clinic got the right tools to examine u or not, but if u go for specialist clinic-colorectal section, they'll have a tool called proctoscope( this thing will be poked inside ur anus n look for any hemmorhoid, mass, or bleeding site..) then they'll confirm whether it is a hemorrhoid or not. cause in early stage, this hemorrhoid cannot be felt or it will not prolapse to the anus, n so, we need a proctoscope to see it. hemorrhoid is a benign protrusion of ur wall of the anorectal, which is common, so, don't need to be worry too much.

for hemorrhoid, it usually won't cause pain....just frank blood. :)

liv, u know a lot too....r u a doc or medical student ? :)

hemorrhoid=piles...

no cure? there's plenty of treatment for hemorrhoid. if it's internal part, we can ligate the hemorrhoid (rubber banding), or we can inject some drugs( sclerosing agent) so that the homorrhoid won't bleed. if it's more external ones, can go for surgery to remove it. but normally if it doesn't gives alot of troublesome symptoms, then, we can just leave it. if those symptoms r really troubling u, u can go specialist clinic to manage it.

for the examination, the doctor might need to poke his hand into ur anus to feel for mass or any rectal bleeding. but for early stage of pile, it cann't be felt by fingers, so, this is when a proctoscope will help. well, it depends on u, if u r already relieved, not worried anymore, then it's fine. :) if it's not, then u still can go for second opinion in specialist clinic. depends on u :P

liv, where ya studying n which year r u in now? :P:P:P
