weN 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 I thought of starting this topic as I came across fluene's reply on the topic on dark circles on our eyes. I have a few oil seeds and one is just so prominent I wish I can get rid of it. Do any of you have oil seeds? If you do, did you try to get rid of it? With what? Do share! fluene 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 Perhaps you should see a dr. I've been to beautician before and they told me nothing can be done about the oil seeds except to massage the eye areas which might help a bit. But no guarantee. Then I went to see a dr and he gave me cream to apply. He told me to go back and see him again if the oilseeds do not get away in one month time after applying the cream day and night everyday. The dr. said if the oilseeds do not go away, he'll have to poke it with a needle and also do a blood test. Reason is that eye lid cancer always starts with oil seeds. Scary! jaymeeong 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 hei gals, i juz read an article bout oil seeds in newspaper today... check tis out'Reiko Soo is definitely a woman with miracle hands – she expert in extracting milia and oil seeds. Using only a pair of tweezers and extractor, she is capable of removing the milia and oil seeds without leaving any scars. No lasers or high-tech machines are used as it is purely done by hand. Most of us have milia and oil seeds. Those little skin-coloured lumps on your face, neck and around your eyes are oil seeds. Milia seeds and oil seeds are commonly found on the face and neck area because these areas usually dry and oily.'if u need further info babes may contact VL Skincare at 03-2938 9922 (midvalley) / 03-42702928 (ampang).. hope tis will help u gals. fluene 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 Reiko Soo is a beautician. The oilseeds that were being refered to in the articles are those on the face, not the one around eyes. Just imagine someone holding a needle at near your eyes. Must feel very scary. So I think I will only go to a dr for that.
weN 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 Perhaps you should see a dr. May I know which type of doctor? Was is a specialist or just normal general practitioner?
fluene 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 I went to a general practitioner. He is quite experienced as a dr. I think there is no need to go to a specialist unless there is complication and the GP recommend that you see one.

Serene 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 (edited) i used to have a very obvious oil seed. then i started using dermalogica eye cream (opps, i forgot the exact name) with spf 15 and my oil seed is not so obvious..it's getting smaller. i only started using for about 3 months. maybe u all can give it a try I started to use Dermalogica was around 19 yr old. After used Dermalogica Total eye care SPF15, I started to have oil seed around my eyes. I told my beautician, she ask me to continue use it. She said later oil seed will reduce. ME also stupid stupid follow what she said, oil seed getting more and more around my eyes so I end up went to see doctor. Doctor did laser for me cost around RM800+. Doctor said some oil seed did not come out to the surface so can not be laser its. Now I'm 25 still have the small small oil seed around my eyes. I'm so sad about it. Can not cure fluene: What cream that the doctor gave, can buy it at pharmacy? Edited April 21, 2006 by Serene
fluene 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 I don't know what is the name of the cream. Most creams in clinics do not have a brand name, just the name of the active substance. They just scoop it out from the big jar when a patient is being prescribed with it. I guess you have to see a dr.

sanloong 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 i thought oil seed showing up is caused by high cholestrol consumption..No?
clve 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 i used to have lots of oil seeds but much smaller after i stayed in colder dry country - i m wondering is oil seeds affected by humidity and weather as well besides skin condition/diet? aiks.. but more wrinkles in dry/cold country - and so i have both wrinkles and small oil seeds =(
fluene 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 Yumiko, Sorry for late reply. Did not notice there's a question for me. The clinic is Poliklinik Lourdes in PJ State. I do not have any oilseeds after applied the cream.sanloong, oilseeds at the eye brow or upper eyelids are caused by cholesterol. Other than that, it is caused by wrong usage of products. Say, you have oilseeds undereye, that is caused by your moisturiser or eye cream, not cholesterolclve, drier environment will cause the skin to be dehydrated and also produce less sebum (oil). Hence, you get wrinkle. On the other hand, since your face is not producing much oil, then you won't get oilseeds
clve 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 oh so oil seed under eye is really the problem of eyes product used? the doctor's cream that u applied is for undereyes? it really makes the oil seeds disappear? that's great! i might pay the doctor a visit when i come back =D
ladyjo 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 (edited) Aiyo...milia seeds no need to look for Doctor or Reiko Soo one. BTW I've ask some beauticians to do the extract for me but none dares to as its too near the eye.So, I had no choice but to do the extraction on my own. All you need is to make sure your needle is clean and sterilized then make an opening where the milia seed is then, squeeze with your fingers as how you would in popping pimples and in no time its all done. Very painful i must warn but free BTW, if you ladies uses oil based make up remover, after removing your make-up please do your face cleansing immediately to avoid these. Plus look for Rayanne, another member here, who sells cellique (not sure if spell is correct) and ask her for milia seed remover cream. All ze best Edited August 2, 2006 by ladyjo
