Help? How to treat varicose veins

Recommended Posts

I have varicose and spider veins appear under the skin from my thigh, calf to my knee on both of my legs and I find it very embarrassing when I wear shorts and skirts as they are pretty obvious like snake. I've tried many ways to get rid from getting more veins appear under the skin but the old veins bother me a lot as their conditions exacerbate as compare to last year.

For cosmetic purposes, I went to Sunway Medical Centre for check up and did a ultrasound for about RM350 excluding consultation fee. So the doctor advised me to go for sclerotherapy and he told me that one leg treatment costs about RM3000++. So I'm wondering since both of my legs have varicose veins and to treat it I need to pay for RM6000++. That's too expensive for me. :shocking:

I just want to know from you guys out there, do you have the same problem?

How you treat the varicose veins and spider veins? Do you guys go for laser, sclerotherapy and I heard that surgery is meant for those people who are suffering from varicose ulcers which I don't think I have reached that stage yet and I'm just afraid that my condition is getting worst and probably one day I need to go for surgery and it could be a nightmare for me. That's why I hope to get some proper action.

I've tried to alleviate my legs, taking supplement like ginko extract, go for a walk but these methods can only get rid the new veins from appearing but not the veins that have appeared under my skin.

I wish you guys can give me some advices on how to treat my varicose veins or pls recommend any dermatologists or any skin specialists that you have treated your veins before with an affordable price.  :shy:

Thx
