Recipe Discussion and Request Thread

I addicted to Coffee bean's Tomato & Herb Linguine, i had tried many others vegetarian pasta, but, this is still the one to beat.. :thumbup1:

I only know they uses those tinier red tomatoes, cheeses, basil leaf, and olive oil, plus the liguine, but my tongue sense something more too.., there are some very minor taste of herb if you try to taste the sauce carefully.. :wink3:

Hi Ian and welcome to the forum... As you can see I'm not a active poster of stuff, but I would be able to help you out.

Linguine with Tomato and Herb is a basic Italian dish.

The tomato sauce is essentially made out of garlic, passata (canned tomatoes, pureed) and a sprinkling of dried oregano.

Basically saute your chopped garlic on moderate heat till softened and slightly translucent, pour in the passata and let it boil over high heat for about 3 - 5 minutes. If you like, add in some sugar to balance the acidity of the tomatoes. Put in your boiled pasta (al dente) and stir. Switch off the flame and season with salt to your liking. Sprinkle dried oregano (only a little will do) and tear up fresh basil and stir it in too. Serve IMMEDIATELY.

Cheers! Happy cooking..
