Spend a Day in Historic Walterboro, South Carolina

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Named after two brothers and located at the juncture of Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 17A, Walterboro was founded in 1783 as a retreat for plantation owners from rice growing marshes, malaria and summertime heat. A peaceful town with forests, beautiful mansions from the 1920s, churches, and two historic districts that haven't changed in over 50 years, it offers visitors historic landmarks, museums, attractions, art galleries, restaurants, hotels and inns.

Thanks a lot

Michael Earl
