Cocktails Lover

Recommended Posts

Since most ladies are into cocktails, Id be publishing 2 cocktails a day with its recipe so some of you could make it at home. Yeah, you must really be a drinker to have all the ingredients. tongue.gif

First you would need to know the different glasses used for different types of cocktails.

Highball

user posted image

Also called a Collins. Used for tall or long drinks, often for fruit punches and harvey wallbangers.

Martini

user posted image

THE cocktail glass! Used mainly for vodka based drinks, as the long stem keeps the cocktail from warming up too quickly.

Shots

user posted image

Found in all shapes and sizes, from silly message ones to highly expensive hand blown glass ones.

Flute

user posted image

Flutes are excellent to serve cocktails made with champagne in as they keep the fizz of the drink. Best chill before use.

Tumbler

user posted image

Perfect for muddling fruit in as it's a more sturdy glass. Good for bourbon cocktails. Buy those with thick, heavy bases.

how much is "1 shot" ? how to measure?

that is why you need a jigger. a jigger has two sides - top and bottom. one side measuring one shot and another two shots. smile.gif
