Best skin care product for sensitive skin

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Previously i don have a proper skin care product until one of my friend told me that i must have at least 3 basic care (cleansing, tonering & moisturising) in order to improve my skin problem which i always have on my forehead, chin and sometimes my nose. Then i I heard that The Skin Food is good. I tried it for nearly 3 months but there it doesn't work well on my skin and i notice that now i even have pimples on my face area.

I just wonder if anyone out there have a sensitive skin (skin with belmish, pimple, acne or etc) and you've tried some good product that can give solution to your skin problem, could you please share some of your tips here. Tell us what skin care product that you use to minimise pimple and blackheads, how do you take care of your skin problem.

Please I really hope someone could save me from my skin problem....plz...

Thanks...

Hi Chocolate,

Actually for sensitive skin, u can skip the 'toner' part. You just need to cleanse. I recommend using Cetaphil which you can get in pharmacy like Guardian or Watson, or other standalone pharmacy (example AA Pharmacy, Sinma Pharmacy which you can ask for a discount).

Small bottle cost RM 26.90 or less. Try it, it's very mild, non-foamy and very suitable for sensitive skin. I personally having sensitive skin and am using Cetaphil. And i do not moisturise. I just cleanse because sensitive skin cannot be burdened with too many chemicals. Less is more. (Cetaphil also can be used without water, so it leaves a thin film of moisture on your skin).

Remember do not go for over-the-counter products or branded products without thorough research because the ingredients might not be suitable for your condition.

Good luck and wish u healthy skin! smile.gif

Hi Chocolate!

Cetaphil is good and it really works. I juz use it 4 abt 3 weeks and I'm very happy with the results. Sumtime I add soda bicarbonate (1/3 othe cetaphil amount) to exfoliate my skin n leave it a while b4 rinse with water.

And 4 skincare..I suggest melilea moisturizer..it is organic and safe..n no irritation.

Actually u dun really have to use full range of a product..u can mix any brand as long as u cleanse, tones (important to close ur pores after cleansing) and moisturize

Hello.

I have sensitive skin (when I do facial my face swell up and take a few days to subside) and blemishes (small pop here and there).

I was using SIMPLE for 10 years since teenager days and then I realized 3 years back I had these bumps on my face, each time after work. Maybe is clog up pores and I decided is time to change.

I went from saloon product which killed my face - Cellnique (then it was a hot item on blackheads, etc), and try and error different products (cheap ones like Eversoft and expensive like Shiseido). I waste a lot of money trying this and that.

I then went to see dermatologist (skin specialist) 2 different one for opinion. In the end it is all about hormones.

However it is advisable to keep face clean. Thank goodness after 1 year of nightmare, gradually the skin heals and it is now better (but not as good as before).

Currently I use this:

First step - Ginvera Marvel Gel - either the green tea or normal I buy whichever is on offer.
Cleanser Gel - VICHY green bottle (I was skeptical at first but give it a second thought and so far so good)
Toner - Avene Thermal Spray - just spray on face
Moisturizer - VICHY anti imperfection (cost RM100) per bottle.

This is my first set of VICHY and it is not too bad. I may consider buying back another set (Cleanser and Moisturizer) in future.

I also use tea tree oil (Thursday's plantation) just to dab on small pops/pimples. but I use this after I was my face clean. Leave it as it is. Do not top up with moisturer because is oil + moisturizer is too heavy on skin.

If your pore is clog up you may want to do a clay mask a few times a week.

Best I suggest to see skin specialist.

ps: I no longer use HABA even though it is good and saved my skin. I found out it takes squalene from shark's liver. So I STOP immediately. However I cannot change my user name here. dry.gif

Same here..initially was intended to try HABA, but after I have found out the squalane is from animal's origin, I dare not use it, I prefer to use squalane from plant...

I believe moisturiser is necessary as dryness will cause breakouts as well, acne scars, dark spots and will follow with pigmentation...Of course, you must use the right moisturiser, not too oily....

Sometimes skin specialist cant really solve our problems, especially they arent many good one around....it is all on us to research and trial & error...

Good to know there is someone who respect animals here.

To be honest, HABA did save my skin, like I said after I read more I found the squalene comes from Shark's Liver. I have found other Squalene which comes from Olives actually. So bye bye to HABA. Say NO to Shark's fin and liver for that matter.

VICHY Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care is a good moisturer if you have oily skin easy to break out. Or Biotherm blue range has something similar. I cannot recall the name now.

Yep, the specialist told me, no matter what you do outside, it is the inside which is the problem ppl do not see - i.e. hormone.

Make sure the products you use are alcohol free, oil free, fragrance free. I read somewhere from an online article that if you have sensitive skin, choose products that have less ingredients, the lesser the better. Good luck

Hi there, sensitive skin always means you've to avoid product that contains alcohol and fragrance. But do take note that when it comes to essential oil e.g. rose oil, lemon oil, ylang ylang oil etc in your skincare product, these are actually fragrance that might irritate your skin. Read this article if you like to know more http://www.cosmeticscop.com/skin-care-fact...e-products.aspx

For me, sensitive skin user should always trust on Clinique 3step. They have products range from very sensitive to very oily to suit your skin. If you never try Clinique before, just log on to their website http://www.cliniquemalaysia.com/3step/ to register,

OR you can click on my blog where i teach you step by step how to register: http://beautyguruguru.blogspot.com/2009/07...count-of-1.html to get 3 deluxe sample from clinique

I use this product name Kelapa Face Moisturiser for my skin. This product protects my skin from oil and makes my skin smooth and radiant. I have been using this product for past 4 months and it has helped me a lot. I had bought this product from Lazada. This store has various products related to skin. Also, the products available here are at discount rates. You can buy from here and enjoy it.
