Tham 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 Not a babe, but guy here.I've been seeing him for eczema for many years. His clinic is just opposite Sakura restaurant. You usually have to wait at least 3 hours if you don't makean appointment, so I usually go only on Saturdays at around6 pm, nearly closing time, when most of the patients havefinished. I've heard that if you go in the morning, you mustmake an appointment. His charges are actually quite cheap compared to other dermatologists. His follow-up consultation charge is about $30.Medication is separate, but reasonable. If he does not giveany injection for my eczema, and say two or three tubs ofsteroid creams, I usually pay $60 to $90. With some tabletssuch as antibiotics, it may be $20 more.If you buy some cream from the counter, it isn't very expensiveeither. A 15 gram tub of mometasone ointment will cost $20,though generic. If you buy the original one, Elomet by Schering outside, it is now about $30.A few years ago, he used the laser to remove an oil or miliaseed on my right lower eyelid and it cost $100.I don't think he does microdermabrasion, which is used moreby beauticians, but I think he can reduce your acne scar easliy with the laser or IPL.I see lots of young girls waiting on Saturday to see him forlaser and IPL. He also uses diathermy, or electric needle. Here's his clinic number - 2144 4148.

Tham 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2009 IPL is intense pulse light. A milder form of light treatmentcompared to the laser. Quite a number of beauticians anddermatologists are using it these days. They use it on acne scars, pores, pigmented skin, hairremoval, etc.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intense_pulsed_lighthttp://healthy-lifestyle.most-effective-so...se-pulse-light/http://www.intensepulsedlightreview.com/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV-xpNrhtCUhttp://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7347881903383496601I'm sure Ting will have some good creams and lotons for your acne pores, like Differin, clindamycin, erythromycin. If your case is serious, he may prescribe oral antibioticas like tetracyclineand doxycycline, or one of the retinoids like isotretinoin (Accutane).Otherwise, he will probably just give you some creams if yourcase is mild or moderate.A good cream worth trying is azelaic acid, but it tends tobe drying and cause irritation.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azelaic_acidhttp://dermnetnz.org/treatments/azelaic-acid.htmlhttp://www.acne.org/azelaic-acid-azelex-re...s/23/page1.htmlYou can get it here as Acnederm, made by Ego. If you look at his MBBSdegree framed on the wall, he graduated in 1974. This meanshe was 23 or 24 then. His younger brother, Henry, whom I talk to sometimes, wasborn in 1954, I believe. Henry looks like Ting, but is shorter. You can see him walking around, sometimes in the dispensingroom, but most times in the room to the right of the seating area, where he is watching the CCTV !If you are into Christianity, Henry will be happy to talk with you.
