don't know leh, but I heard double eyelid surgery is not not good, but not nice!

can see that its very unatural.

my friend's cousin did double eyelid surgery (dunno where), but the eye looks like it has "cuts on the lid", like 1 line cut across the eye, on the eyelid, rather than "natural eyelid folds".

can see fat flesh protruding out of the lid, rather than natural lids, the lid flesh is more in.

have u tried using double eyelid glue? I heard if u use it in a long run, double eyelid actually can form. My aunt is one example, and one of my eye! Now my 1 eye got double eyelid, the other don't have, but the other look like as if it's forming, but im so lazy to apply already.

LOL, yes double eyelid surgery DO give you a line across your eyelids. But thats only visible when you close your eyes lah.

And yes I agree with mic.darlin9 as Ive used glue too and got my double eyelid (at desired position) too ;)

But I had inner double previously, not totally single. So Im not sure if it works the same for girls who have single eyelids.

Anyone Who's intrested of doin double eyelid surgery at Dr.Ko Or any other surgery..

Pls dont go to Dr.Ko's Klinic because The Price is extremly expensive there loh...

I ask bout How much double eyelid surgery cost...the nurse said they can give me last price is RM1500.00

I think maybe KL or oth place will be much cheeper then Klinik Ko's price... :(

Totally agreed!! Don't go to Klinik KO. Surgery are done by none professinals. Remember the case the Labuan MP's wife died!!! Oooo..scary..

I got a aunty who did it there...XPENSIVE RM1800!! and that not all..the eyelid are uneven!!!! And she end up cutting it twice.

You can have it done by Plastic Surgeon. Victor Cheong is good... In Midvalley.... About RM800 -RM1200. He is a plastic. Look up for it in the internet. BUt no Klinik Ko...U will regret it!!!

Hey don't do it. If you are thinking you life will change all because you have/don't have something, you will be constantly disappointed.

Also, when it comes to medical procedures, the general rule is to go to the best doctors no matter the cost. This is also why doctors in western countries refer their patients to spcialists because you job as a doctor is ensure your patient gets the best care. it's a professional duty.

Look, if something cost $5k it's going to cost you $5k to buy it. You won't buy something worth $5k for $1.8k. I'm finding it very disturbing that some of you are negotiating with medical professionals as if you are buying a used car. Either these guys lack professionalism or you have to seriously revisit why you want to put yourself through this.

i definitely agree with u there about the paying high prices for the best doctors. thats why i am willing to pay up for a really good doc to cut my eyelids. i went with a cheap doc the first around and now i have to get it fixed coz of his incompetence

I also intend to go for double eyelid because my eyes look droopy a bit. Recently I have call up a surgeon at (Prof. Chua) Optimax Clinic at KL and the surgery cost is RM3,200. He is qualified doctor. I don't mind to pay this price but still worried. Is anyone done before at this Clinic??

i js did mine in Penang yesterday, at Penang Adventist Hospital. The doctor is Dr Danny Oh. The charges all in was RM 2,200. Firstly hv to make appointment to see doctor, to get consultation, and he will advice u accordingly on how the cutting should be and will show u his past patients before and after record. Initial consultation charges was RM 60, and this amount was subsequently waived when u confirmed wanted to carry out the treatment.

The process was quite a short one. After registration and change over, you will be brought to an operation room, and the nurse will take ur blood pressure, set line to put some drips and measure the heart beat. When the doctor came in, he will snap a photo of u before operation, and then see ur face for final time. Subsequently he will cleanse ur eyes with alcohol wipes and then start drawing on ur eyelid. During the drawing process , he might ask u to open and close ur eyes, to see how the line fall into place..so at this moment we will still be awake. After the drawing is done, the nurse will put in sedation and put me to sleep, and the process began. So the whole process, I was in zzz mode. The whole process took about 1 hour time. After done, i was pushed to a resting room to let me rest for about half an hour to make sure that I am completely ok before i leave. The nurse briefted me on the treatment oilment, and how to take care of the wound. First 2 days will need cold compress and 3rd day will be warm compress. I will need to go back tomoro, 3rd day for review and stiches will be removed on the 7th day. My eyes is swollen now, so can't see the real outcome yet, but the swollen part wasn't that bad, no discomfort at all, js some slight itchiness. I opted for a specialist to do for me, instead of those skin clinic out there, as i think I would rather pay higher for something related to my appearance, and also hygienic and security. At least i am assure that the equipment are sterilised up to certain standards, and the fact that Dr Oh is in this line for so long, and having his own floor and building at Adventist Hospital, means that he has the expertise and experience that recognised by the hospital.

Hopefully the outcome of my eyes will be a good one..:)

Hi Babe,

thanks so much for the information, your post was so detailed.

but so far, i nvr heard that doing double eyelid surgery needs to be put to sleep as everyone was only injected on eyes part and was awake the whole time.

anyway, how is the outcome now since it's been years.

i'm still looking trusted specialist in penang and hardly find one.

some of friends did recommend Optimax though. They are well known eye specialist but not sure of double eyelid surgery.
