Thanks a lot for the number. The name of the clinic is Klinik Pakar Kulit Chua (tel: 80632323). There are 2 doctors there; one Dr Desmond and the other Dr Andrew. Dr Desmond does procedures and Dr Andrew is more on skin. Went there yesterday for my eczema problem. Met Dr Desmond but recommended that Dr Andrew look at my condition, which i think was responsible of him. Nurses are nice and the best thing is I can make appointment. Went at 10am and out by 10.30am. Unlike all the other doctors that I have been to Sachdev, Ting, Chu Sik Fai, none of them entertain appointments, which sucks. I had waited for my turn for as long as 4 hours before. Hated that!

I personally havent been to Ko Specialist before but hearing by the way they treat patients....BAD. All patients should be treated equally. Thats wat doctors should do.

Hi all, Are you sure there is 2 Dr in Klinik Pakar Kulit Chua???? Dr Desmond??? I cant find his name in Doc's directory, is he a registered Dr.???

Please help to find out and PM me. TQ

Hi babes,

I've been going through about the comments here because I need to seek for more opinions about HOW to get a better skin. I heard of Dr. Ko and I went to his places a few times.
I did treatment for open pores and scarring and it really does improved alot. But I would like to seek for more suggestion on how to maintain it.
As far as I concern, the person whom you mentioned (Desmund Chua) in Klinik Ko no longer works with Dr. Ko. He left the clinic almost 2years and he is not a doctor. He is not a doctor. Therefore none of us are able to check if he is a registered doctor coz as a matter of fact, he is NOT. That is why I got confused when you girls called him Dr. Desmund.
He is just a laser machine technician and he learn his skills from the clinic. Perhaps he knows the right setting that is why he left the place and work on his own.
Of course I agree that we need to wait for a long time in able to see Dr. Ko but the most famous and reliable person always have to wait for a long time right??

Hi little bear,

Tell u rite, some people go do laser, face more worse. if really u got the acne scarring, have u heard a brand called Assata? They have got a treatment for scar. But only can cure i think maybe 85% of your scar only.

May be different customer, different results. U go see them first. Sometimes, doctor will ask u do the more expensive treatment but not really best one lorrr.

If u get what I tell u!

After u really do the treatment, pls tell us your result ok, whether good or bad.

TQ

Hi Little Bear,

As far as I know, the best skin specialist in town is still Dr. Ko chung Beng situated in Klang. They have all the latest laser machine to treat acne scarring and so on. You can try to get some advice from him too. Price varies for each treatment so its better that you make a trip there and talk to him.

If not, Dr. Ranjit and Dr. Ting can help too. Try searching in the website...

about scar, we have to develop many kind of scar, which are acne scar, open pore, pimple scar and etc.. different of scar, we use different of the treatment. dr ko wasn't a best clinic in malaysia, we should say he is the most more choices laser machine in malaysia.

where u go for the laser treatment, its depend on the dr facilities.. if the dr have advance machine and suitable for yr problem, it may help u.. if the dr only have little choices of machine, it use few treatment to help u...

i cant say im good in my laser treatment knowledge, but i hope i can help u all to get a better advice about laser and treatment or even product.. thx..

Hi, i was reading through the comments about Ko Skin Centre.

I just want to tell those who are deciding to, or thinking of going there to just NOT go at all.
Don't even have to think twice or watever, just make it a one time decision and JUST DON'T GO.
For your hard earned money's sake and for watever it maybe. Juz don't!!!
I'm so frustrated at myself for not finding enough info before stepping in that centre.
Sigh...i better juz stop here... juz EFFING disappointed!

Don't be the next victim.

Hi, I've been a customer of Klinik Ko since the last 3-4 years. I had pigmentation problem and Klinik Ko helped me a lot in achieving good skin. I'm sorry to hear that some of us had bad experience in this particular clinic. Just want to share my experience here.

Everytime I go there, I insist on seeing Dr. Ko or his other doctors only even thought I need to wait a bit longer. I find that all the doctors there are friendly and helpful. The other staff (therapist) are just okay. I underwent 4 series of laser treatment and 1 session of chemical peel. Although I wouldn't say that my skin now is 100% cleared of the pigmentation but I'm quite happy with results and now I am just using their products to maintain the good results.

I do agree that the prices are quite expensive (I have spent around 2-3K) but for the results I'm getting, I'll consider it money well spent. (Previously I tried many expensive branded skin care products including SKII but it never worked)

I'll continue to visit Ko clinic and my mother and sisters are also Klinik Ko's loyal customer.

Dear Cassie,

sorry to hear your comment here, but my bro had a very bad acne problem last few months mayb cause of hormone changes, so he went and see Dr Ko- Ko skin & Laser Centre, his skin is much better after taking the medication and he is using their clinicare products, it help him to gain back his confidence since his skin improve alot and he is very happy with their products.

I heard from him that the Dr giving student price to him which is much cheaper from other clinics, he will go back to do chemical peeling to improve his skin texture next week, another feedback is he likes the Dr in Ko Skin bcoz they are friendly and they offer student price for students.

dr ko is fine, his clinic can do many machine. its really depand on customer, some dont like, some like it so much. acne problem at dr ko clinic just a simple treatment only. chemical peeling can do , but dont do always, it can make yr skin more sensitive. dr ko chemical peeling is using bit strong ingredients, so u can see yr whole face is peeling lyer by lyer. just remember who is doing peeling, after the treatment, pls do more hydrating treatment..(put on more moistrizer) dun expore to the sun, just becareful.. if not yr skin colour will turn to dark.. (sunburn)

just sharing my experience ya... rolleyes.gif Edited by KKbee

Wah..

I wish to share a little with all d girls out there who wants more professional advice on treating skin problems or having laser treatment done and even cosmetic surgery procedure.
I took my gf for a double eyelid surgery in Klinik Ko and I was so impressed with the brand new centre. They have extended their size and more facilities are provided to everyone.
My gf flew in from JKT for her eyelid to be done and we are amazed with the result. She barely have swell and bruise on her eye after coming out from the surgery. Its all good and we think that the price is very reasonable too. We made some research about the prices and workmanship and finally decided to go Klinik Ko and we are very happy with the results. Even some places charge cheaper, but those surgery are not properly done by professional surgeons. Some places hired China people and eventually trained them and pretend that they are Doctors from China. SOme even was done by normal therapist.
Service from Klink was pleasant too. They were nice even they are so busy with other customers. Place was packed.
Worth to give it a try if you are seeking for professional advice on Laser, Skin problems and Surgery too.

Address: Klinik Pakar Kulit KO Sdn Bhd
No. 6A - 12A, Jalan Temoh off Jalan Goh hock Huat

I think everyone who is paying top dollar to see the doctor must get the full consultant, have their questions answered before having any treatment done by the DOCTOR!! Not the nurse/assistant etc. If the nurse/ assistant is doing it, you must be sure the doctor there supervising the entire time.

Please check if your "doctors" are registered with the dermatological society of malaysia. All dermatologists registered with the Malaysia Medical Council are a member of the society, and check out this website:

http://www.dermatology.org.my/iframes/ifra...ry_members.html

Good luck, don't pay so much and let these money suckers treat you badly. Edited by mirrormirror

Girls, I've been to Ko's Skin Specialist and one thing I noticed is that the price ranges for each individual. Since I am those type that asks a lot of questions, the doctors and so-called nurses (not certified pun. They're just beauticians) were quite irritated by me because I asked them in detail what the actual procedures are called, the downtime, the follow-up maintenance, etc. They can be friendly but there's a major air in their heads. They are just too stuck-up and think all people with skin problems will flock to them.

And can you believe it? They don't give proper receipts? When I asked for a receipt, they didn't look happy. I specifically asked them to write in detail but they used those 50cents receipt book you can buy off from any indian bookstores.

Despite with my LV and Prada bags, due to my endless questions to them, all my visits were quite unpleasant. Because I never believe in kow-towing to such arrogant business people like them, I stopped going to the clinic. I did a lot of research and went to plastic surgeons for consultations. Although I have to pay for consultations, the knowledge they have bestowed on me about lasers and surgeries are worth it.

For my acne scars, my dream of having porcelain skin is forever dashed. Laser cannot completely resurface the skin. Laser can only lighten it but the marks and deep scars are permanent. By the way, laser can also change the face's 'ecosystem' and your complexion may become worse. So, if you really, really want to go for laser, why not try out IPL first? It's mild and safer.

I've been going to Ranjit's. Totally agree with preetkesh. Prices are SO MUCHHHHHHH cheaper and friendlier than Ko's.

My cousin is doing her acne scar laser using line XL which i understand is fractional co2 laser at Dr ranjit clinic subang, done by doctor ranjit himself and the price is RM1100.00 each visit as compared to Dr Ko cost RM2200.00 per treatment.done by nurse.
