Jani 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2008 I have a small patch of pigmentation on my upper cheek, it's about the size of a 10 cents coin. I have tried many whitening products, none of them really gives me a significant result. The melasma started from a chicken pox scar 20 yrs ago. Then it became more visible after I gave birth 3 yrs ago. I understand that the pregnancy hormone will caused the pigmentation to be more visible. I hope it will gradually fade off and back to the previous patch (which is a scar with slightly darken area, no need to use concealer). But it doesnt. I approached a skin doc recently and he advised to use this "Tri Luma" cream. It's a prescribed cream (not beauty product anymore) and has to be monitored by doc after using it. It's quite expensive, RM250+ per tube. My doc told me the treatment course will be around 8 weeks, which I will have to apply a thin layer on the melasma skin every night before bed and leave it there. Then the following morning I'll have to use a stronger sunblock (at least SPF 50) to protect that area. After 8 weeks, I will be able to see the result. It's not a bleeching cream nor skin peeling cream. I am wondering whether anyone here used it before and how's the result. I searched from net and found many info about it, but all of them were comments from westerner, I would like to know how does this cream affect asian skin like us? And anyone has any comment after using it.

Let me know your result if you use it emm...regarding to the pigmentation might comes back, it's related to many factors, UV light, scar, metal stress, hormone imbalance and so on. during your treatment should avoid your face from sun light, some more have to apply sunblock, I suggest sleep early, take more fruit vegetable. In fact melanin is good, it protects skin against the harmful effects of UV. but then it creates the melasma which makes your skin not beautiful. In my opinion, must check the ingredient of skin whitening product, how the ingredient work to inhibit the melanin, think wise before buying any whitening product. must consider many factors. illeana.fernandes23@gmail. 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Triluma cream is a prescription treatment, and this combination of medication is used to treat melasma on the face. Melasma is a condition of dark, patchy areas on the skin, especially on the cheeks and forehead. It sometimes occurs with hormone changes. This product contains 3 different kinds of medication. Hydroquinone acts as a bleaching agent, Tretinoin, being a retinoid increases the shedding of old skin cells with the new ones. Fluocinolone is a medium-strength corticosteroid that reduces swelling, itching, and redness. Buy Triluma from alldaychemist.com to get the best deals. Hyperpigmentation and darkspots are very hard to counter, then I googled as many solution for my skin problem, and I found TRI-LUMA. Since I started using this product I never want to let it go of my shelf. It gave my confidence back and I feel so happy. I now roam on the streets without Melasma.
