Maid

Recommended Posts

Hello MYB,

Anyone know a good and reliable maid agency? I am looking for a permanent maid or daily basis where she comes in the morning at 8am and leave at 7pm. Any one of you got contact? I need a maid quite urgent.

My indo maid just ran away yesterday. She stole RM 500 from us. The maid is so lazy and rude. SHe only do the things if u ask her to do. When she mop the floor, she does not rinse the mop with water. She uses one mop to mop the whole house one time only. All the things that she wash is not clean. Even the floor, when we ask her to sweep she said she already sweep.

This is the second maid we are getting. I just wonder why all maid like to run away after 6 months working? The maid agency is not good. and their service is not good too. They dont want to take the responsibility and just blame everything to the maid. Please dont go to this agency in Taipan. To get more details, PM me.

Anyone here hire a cambodian, filiphino maid? How are they? Share your experience. Thanks!

Hi,

So have you got another maid ?

I was just recently checking out and thinking whether should take in cambodia maid for work ? But thought that could be a bit more expensive.

However, a lot of people said that cambodia maid is much better than indonesian.

Rgds,

CC

Phillipino maid, i would say some of them r educated & some aren't not. If u choose a phillipino ones make sure u check the background of previous employment which she used to be an amah.

The first year my husband posted in Brunei, Phillipinos amah are lined up for employment. In the country most of them u can get from their previous employer not an agent. Doesn't cost us anything because their previous employer due to go back to their home town. Their salary are quite reasonable B$500. They have to be given a day off every sunday because they go to the church. Every 2 yrs of their employment ends, their journey back home to Phillipines is our responsible for the flight. Insurance is a must for every household.

Phillipinos amah are top quality, they know what to do, managing the house & my kids and etc. Every morning my amah came in the house, she takes care of the kids to get them ready for school and even they took my twin boys to school also picked them up from school. Housework job I guarantee they know well. Obviously i said that because the way they do the house work to dusting etc exactly to what me & my husband standard. They also speak good english. They interact with my boys as if their own.

Its a bonus to me having an amah in Brunei because back in England we couldn't afford to hire one. The most that I can afford is to hire a Spanish nanny from Spain. The minimum wages per week is 150 pound sterling and yet she only taking care of the boys not doing housework but she handling the boys stuff. I & my husband takes turn to clean up the house.

In Malaysia, I am not aware whether Phillipino amah r available for the kind of job. I experienced Phillipinos in Malaysia r only a night club singer or Personal Escort only. Correct me if I am wrong? Because in Brunei r only good for family life but not for Bachelors. I knew every weekend, available bachelors have to go to Labuan Island to have a good time. Is that true?

I have hired 3 cambodia maid, um...how to decsribe them....most of them are very pure, not smart, not very good in communication, work a little bit slow, but most of them can be trusted. At least they are not like Indonesia maid, some of the indo maid bring their male friend home (employer's house) because they are live-in maid,if you are lucky you wont get rob,if you are not lucky,i think you wont hire indo maid forever. What about if you have a daughter living in the same house?Plus, cambodia maid never run away, since they have no connection in malaysia, they dont speak malay, just little bit of english,so they cant/not able to connect with outside people,so they wont bring anyone home, they dont even have friend outside.

Cambodia maid like to eat rice, tat is their main food,3 meal per day, must have rice at least in one meal. Most of the cambodia maid from kampot, very poor,non-educated,zero knowledge, even some of them dont know wat is microwave. But some of them really doing the good job, taking good care of children, children teach them how to speak english.

If cooking skill, they know how to cook but only in cambodia style, unless employer teach them. One thing im sured is when they did something wrong,i scolded them, they just standing there and smile at me,tat make me stop & i dont know wat to say,and finally i forgot wat to scold and i smile.

I know about the cambodia maid package now is RM8.2k for new maid, salary RM550 per month, the package including 6 months of salary deduction, which means the maid work for you 6 months you no need pay her, until the 7th month u started to pay,2 years contract, package including first year levy, medical check up,insurance PA,fetch maid from KLIA upon arrival.
