Hi tau_fu_fah:

Any update from your boyfriend face condition? How many times has he done the treatment?

My friend did a Fraxel treatment in dr. ko clinic in klang cost him about RM 1000 per treatment. He done only one time, now is about 1 month after the treatment. I met him today, his face condition got some improvement, but not a lot, all the scar and holes still visible.

Since your boy friend has done a few times of treatment, need to know how the scar, holes, fine lines, wrinkles... Please update us. Thank

Actually, dr. ko will apply numb gel before the treatment, according to my friend, he hardly feel any pain when he did the treatment. Since dermagenesis claim that if apply numb gel, the result would be affected, so i am comparing the result, if you can update me.

Thanks

In order to see improvements u need to do it at least 3-4 times. At least that's what my dermatologist says. I'm doing the spectra laser and I've done it at least 5 times already. I can see a 80% improvement. How much is the fraxel laser anyway?

was this for pitted acne scars ?

did it hurt ?

dermagenesis adviced me to go for 4 or 5 treatments

what do you think ?

2.5k for one fraxel session? Wow that's really expensive.

Yuki, am currently seeing Dr Nathan at Wisma PKNS. I have some acne scars so am doing the spectra laser to diminish the appearance of the scar. So far so good :)

dr nathan eh ?

hmmm got his address or phone number ?

what about fraxel laser ? isnt that suppose to be best for pitted acne scars ?

did spectra laser treatment hurt ?

Laser skin regeneration is now one of the most popular methods of inducing collagen growth in the skin. Lasers are effective at treating the five major signs of photo-aging:

  • Brown Spotting
  • Wrinkles and Fine Lines
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Sagging Skin
  • Spider Veins
Dr Ko skin specialist in klang and i'm from klang. I went last year for birth marks laser treatment. Yeah consultants are not polite at all and price range quite expensive, nurses been doing all the treatments to us, oug.. painful they all under trainning.

No worries, im here sharing my good news to you all, dr desmond used to work for Dr Ko but he left and open his own skin specialist in Puchong since Feb 2008, price much cheaper. He'll be the one doing the treatment for you not by nurses so no pain at all, he is experienced enough a pro therapist, know all the laser equipments well so why not give it a try. Hmm.. i forgot his clinic name, as following i have only his cellphone number and address hope it helps u all

16-1, Jln Puteri1/4, Bdr Puteri Puchong. 012 3937539 Desmond.

Hi, there is a CO2 fractional laser promotion at Dr. Andrew Chua's clinic. New machine, good for smoothing skin, acne scar amongst other skin problems. Promotion price RM800 for the next 2 weeks from today. His clinic quite busy so need to call for appointment. My friend did treatment there and the results is good.

hi, i m newbie here.

Went to dermlayze and dr. ranjit yday about scar removal laser.

Dermlayze suggesting me to do the fractional laser 1550 which cost rm1800 per session, and he suggested me to do 5 sessions.

Bt there is a package - 3+1,means u pay 1800*3 but u get 4 times of treatment, and the 5 times get 50% discount means rm900..

then i went to dr. ranjit. Which it was really long queue.. ^_^

i waited for 3 hours to c him .. mb bcoz is saturday.

anyway, he suggested me to do fractional laser co2 ..which suprisingly cheaper than i expected - rm1k per session.

and he said 3 session r enuf to do the work.. at least 90% of scars can be removed.

I got a little confused after i browse this thread and info from other website..

coz a lot of different terms and types of laser..

Here i list down my question, c if anyone can help me on this..

1. is fractional laser 1500 = fractional laser co2 ?

2. is fractional laser co2 a new kinda laser or traditional type?

3. is fractional laser co2 ablative?

4. wud fractional laser co2 cause hyperpigmentation?

5. i understand the laser will remove the dermis of the skin, will the skin grow back ?

6. Anybody'd done this laser treatment in dr. ranjit's and else where ?

many thanks.

Hi there,

I am new to this site, but i found your post pretty helpful to my case, could you please provide me Dermagenesis,Sri Hartamas address and contact number? Did the Dr suggest your bf to jab Silikon too?

Thanks & Regards!

[quote name='tau_fu_fah' timestamp='1215935476' post='504969']
My bf and I went to Demagenesis at Sri Hartamas and the doctor recommended my bf with Fraxel Laser treatment. He's been suffering from severe acne scares (known as moon face). My bf was given 5 or 6 times (cannot remember) fraxel laser, once in a month. The whole course cost about RM2100 (after 30% discount). He was given some cooling cream after his first treatment. Charges for additional cream to treat his existing acne is not included. It's barely cost about RM30 - RM50 for such acne creams and you can get this at any pharmarcy. Each Fraxel Laser costs about RM350. I think it's reasonable huh.

What is Fraxel Laser?
I hope you will understand as I make up with my own words here. Fraxel works like hundreds or thousand of tiny needle that poke into deep skin. It does not exfoliate the outer skin like microdermabrasion but it helps the underneath to boost up the collagen for skin cell growth. Therefore, the deep scar will diminishes as the skin cells are growing.

It is advisable to take a 2 days off after the treatment as it will cause thousands of raised dark brown dots all over the face! I had my goose bumps after seeing my bf's face... EEeee!

Don't worry, the dark brown dots are actually dead skin and it will go off in 2-3 days. After the dots are gone, you will notice a smoother surface on the face.

hi girls,

im quite interested in doing the co2 fractional laser treatment offered by skin club, however i wonder if the co2 fractional laser treatment is capable of removing a big-raised keloidal scar on hand (wrist). the keloid is about 3cm x 3cm and 7yrs aged. im afraid that laser treatment couldnt help to solve my problem since most of it only deals with the acne/face scar.
please help me if you have any idea.... tq

Hi May I know How's the side effect when your bf did this after the treatment? because my sis want to do this but afraid the side effect

The benefit of Fraxel Re:store is its relatively low side effect profile. By leaving the outer layers of the skin less affected, most of the initial reaction is limited to mild-to-moderate redness and swelling for 1-2 days after the treatment.
