mixybabe 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2008 Hi everyone, I've been surfing the net the whole day looking for a place to dine on this Valentine's day. My bf is busy at work so he told me to choose a place but we have a tight budget, RM100 per couple. This will be my 1st time celebrating with my baby as last year I was away in ChiangMai so couldn't celebrate. I thought of cooking for him but my sis will be at home, so I guess it'll not be a good choice.. We prefer Subang or PJ area only..... please help ..........thanks in advance

aezreen 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2008 Places to recommend in Malacca for Valentine dinner? With good food and ambience..any food will doNot too expensive....for like around RM 50 to Rm 70Hi! here's some recommendations for Valentines Dinner in Malacca:1) The Bert's, Klebang2) The Paradise, Klebang ; this two place: Rm70 is more than enough for this two place. plus its by the beach so its soooo nice with the candle lights and all!3) Friends cafe, Malacca Town - One of the nice place too!!!! Sooo cheap but sooo presentable. last time i booked the place earlier and personally ask them to decorate my table, and they did! with flowers, and candles... and plus the dinner is ala carte (unlike other place u have to bear the package), ala carte a lottt cheaper!.. rm50 is moreeeee than enough! but please book the place n time okay.4) And oh! almost forgot. The Sampan, before Klebang (by the T junction) - Super nice place. got candle light also! by the beach! got package dinner for couple.. cant remember how much.. but i'm pretty sure not exceed RM70. have an awesome dinner babes! mwahx! euniceface 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2008 Hi dear, how about Swenson's in SS2/Subang Parade? It's a really lovely place with affordably good food. (max RM30 per person counting drink, meal and ice cream!) We went for an Executive lunch the other day - Drink, Main meal plus ice cream for the price of one meal! Quite a sweet ol place. Let me know ya babe! Well as always, there's Secret Recipe, Delifrance, TGI Fridays may be a little over RM100...what kind of place & food are you thinking? I know Shogun (Japanese themed) at 1Utama had a buffet under RM50
mixybabe 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2008 Yes, euniceface... I understand that those places recommended are reasonable. But for some reason the price will be more expensive on these occassions. I've asked so many......... anyways, if you know of any packages do let me know.......

Cas 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) I think it’s quite difficult to get a decent restaurant that will charge RM100 per couple unless of course you go to a nice Chinese restaurant or any other restaurant that serves ala-carte on V-day.Oh try USJ – San Fran Pizza, decent lil outlet (provided you’re not fussy with the settings ) with pizza, pasta and yummy lasagna. Very affordable menu but I’m not too sure if prices will be hiked up for V-day. Edited February 13, 2008 by Cas
`cherish 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2008 i think the least budget you must have should be around RM200 to have a nice dinner at hotels or fine restaurants

We used to have buffet dinner at 5 star hotel once in a while for within RM100-150/ 2 pax. But for this Commercialised V-day the price is up. *sigh*Guess have to celebrate a day after or so.... better still as it'll be a weekend.....

I appreciate it.. I wonder where do u guys go then....?well if you ask me, it doesn’t matter how classy or expensive the restaurant you dine in, as long as you get to spend some q-time with your guy on v-day and honestly no point splurging so much on one day. If you plan on doing it on a weekend, try To Dine For @ Chulan Square. Very nice romantic setting and quite affordable. After dinner you guys can head down for some jazz music @ Bangkok Jazz. Very romantic. I have no idea what my husband planned for v-day but I’m guessing it will be a good surprise since he messed it up last year, lol
