Hi, you can go to Gleneagles Hospital, Jalan Ampang, to visit Dr Jean Woo. However, I dont know the price range.

i went there for full body checkup aug this yr, price range is 1k to 1.2k for the advanced screening package which includes:

physical examination
pap smear
ecg wth reports

I think it's ripe time for me to pay a visit to a gynaecologist too. I would also prefer a female gynaecologist, or at least a good and sensitive gynaecologist. Any recommendation around Damansara Perdana area, or areas nearby such as Mutiara Damansara, Bandar Utama, etc.? Please include the price range too if possible. Thanks for any help!

My gynae is a female based in Taman Desa Medical Centre. Her consultation fees is RM50-100 (i dunno if they have raise the fees). But its best to call the hospital for bookings as weekends are usually full and waiting time can go up to 3/4 hours! But she's very good.

Oh.. thanks for that info. Coincidently I live around that area too. Can I know what is the doctor's name? I've checked the website... And managed to find the following:

Dr. Ong Heah Choon
Dr. Fan Poh Wah
Dr. Tang Boon Nee
Dr. Loo Suat Chin

Is any one of these her?

Oh, yes its Dr Tang BN. Sometimes she may be replace by another female gynae who is good too. If you can, do visit them during weekdays to cut the waiting time. =)

I agree with yamitenshi. Dr Tang Boon Nee is an extremely good gynaecologist...She has lots of patient under her treatment and I have been her patient for some years already. You must get treatment from her, she's very friendly and dedicated thatwise she has been offered to work in SJMC. I remember last Wednesday(18/12), I decided to go to see her for my annual check-up in TDMC and I've made a call for appoinment. What was surprised me was a nurse told that she had about 40++patient were waiting for her so Dr Tang was forced to work until 8pm!!!! I've seen her partner before, Dr Loo but I still like Dr Tang...she's highly recommended!!!

A bit offtopic cos i do want to recommend a gynae who is a male dr
Dr Wong Sum Keong from Pantai Bangsar, also opened his own clinic in Desa Sri Hartamas (Hartamas Women's Specialist)
He is one of my customers
A very friendly, dedicated, patient and good dr
the nurses said he always had to work until 10pm because patients need him
a nurse who had worked for him for many yrs said he is really a good dr, very patient-oriented
and not like those very business-minded 1

I went TDMC before - mine is Dr Loo.
But i think also depends on the purpose you go there, for normal check up / pap smear are okay.
For infertility problem, somehow Dr Loo, fails to point out my problem. I'm visiting The Medical Centre (Damansara Utama) Dr Collin Lee ( male gynea)

Been reading the thread about STD's here in the forum - scary statistics!! And maybe it's due time for a check up.. Was wondering, the gynae. you guys mentioned, are they more for pregnancy-related matters or can you go to them to get tested for STD's also? And do you know how much the consultation would cost? My gynae is from Gleneagles, ampang- a male wor. Dr Wong kok kian. Yes, many gynae who works in Gleneagles, Ampang are top docs!!

My frend said the one Pantai bangsar - Dr Nor is good too. Female Gynae.

Heard alot of rumours on Dr Christina in SJMC, quite pricey (cut throat) and rude.

SJMC good gynae and experience- female gynae - Datuk Dr Siti.

My gynae is Dr Andy Low at Gleneagles.. He is ok.. but quite expensive & he doesn't explain much..

I plan to change to Dr Jean Woo... but afraid that the price is oso expensive, since she is based in Gleneagles oso.. Any babes consult her before?

My fren recommend Dr Lam Num Fatt from Sentosa Medical Centre, KL, his charges is quite reasonable.. Any babes wanna to comment on him?

Ya heard delivery and gynae is very exp in gleneagles around 10k ??? Thats what i heard. Anyone if deliver there before, let me know.

So i thought of changing my gynae to somewhere near incase in future if i gona hav baby, water break also can reach in time. Ampang is way too far if something happen. Quite scary leh.

Anyone has any good and experienced gynae esp on delivering babies? around sunway or subang? least exp than gleneagles? male or female gynae is ok w me.

what's the difference in prices on delivery?? Usually whats the normal price? Sorry am new in tis..jst planning. Pls advice.
