Collagen supplement../ collagen drink

Recommended Posts

I have been on Imedeen, Estime, Etsu & Dermareen. Thus far, Dermareen is the cheapest and most effective. But I think my skin has gotten "immuned" to it so am gonna switch to GLOW mid next month since I still have 1 month's supply of Dermareen left :)

Teff..how much 4 dermareen??ya..estime are more pricey..

Dermareen is RM89-90 for a box of 60 capsules ie for 1 month's supply (2 capsules a day). Estime was RM155 for a box of 30 capsules for 1 mth's supply (1 capsule a day) when I took them in 2006. Not sure if they've revised the price now. :) But Estime is pricey coz it has internal sunblock, or so it claims :)

Best time to consume collagen would be mid morning-mid day as thats when the body is very active.Although some people opt to consume at night as they believe that our body is more active in cell regeneration while we sleep. I'd say it's more of a personal preference thingy :)

Sorry babes, where did you buy this Meiji Amino Collagen Drink Supplement? I heard collagen drink is pretty common in taiwan and japan. But so far i can't find any in the market wor...

Hi, you can go to this link for the product you want and see if this price is OK for you

stores.ebay.com/bmchannel_W0QQcolZ2QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ0QQftidZ1QQtZkm

I have backache, and my husband's friend introduce me to drink this product to see if can help me. After drinking a can I feel better and I try to find something like this kind of product for my backache now I feel better. My friends told me they drunk this for skin care and they keep stocks at home. As the moment I drunk it I really not pay attention to effect of the skin since I drunk for me backache. But one point must remember the effect is different from people to people not always the same.

Heard that Meiji Amino Collagen Drink is very very good as it contains 5000mg of collagen in one scoop and you only have to consume it once per day. Checked on Sasa.com, it's retailing for RM122-40 (inclusive of delivery). Pretty cheap I'd say compared to buying it in retail stores. :) Am gonna start consuming Meiji Collagen in 1 month's time as I have another month's stock of GLOW to go!!! :)

So sad I cannot take any of these collagen products - Meiji, Imedeen, Estime, etc cos the ingredient got shellfish, shrimp, prawn and I'm super allergic to it. I hate reading the fineprint of ingredients oon everything

No, Sasa stores dont stock Meiji Amino Collagen but www.sasa.com does. You can also either buy in in japanese food stores for about RM160 or buy it online via ebay for around RM110-RM120. Btw, you're only 23 and I dont see the need for you to consume such supplements now as you are still young. Collagen starts to deplete at age 25 and above. But if you're exposed to the sun a lot and/or smoke, maybe you can start now and consume supplements like Imedeen/Estime/Dermareen/GLOW/NuvaFemme first instead of going for pure collagen supplements. Collagen supplement can be taken once you hit 25. That's my 2 cents. And oh, we cant compare Estime etc with Meiji or any other pure collagen supplements as they are not the same thing. Estime etc contain marine protein which help bind/build the collagen in the body whilst Meiji and other collagen supplement contain pure collagen to be absorbed straight by the body.

Well, there is this supplement that I know which claims to make skin fairer but I havent personally tried it myself. I have contacted the seller (I found him/her on lowyatnet forum). The product is by Fancl and it's called White Advance. Price seems reasonable too but the seller has yet to revert to me tho so I cant tell you more. But they do sell Fancl products in Singapore but they tend to be very costly over there. If you have a friend travelling to Japan or HK you can get him/her to check it out for you.

Hope the above helps.

If you arent adverse to/prohibited from consuming porcine based products, there's this brand of collagen called PLUSH and you can get it in Singapore. Instead of using marine protein, they derive their collagen from pig skin. I dont know if they have it in Malaysia tho. Here's the website for more info: http://www.healthworkz.biz/plush_description.html

sorry a bit off topic here, I just want to share another good use of my collagen powder! Which it can actually remove blackhead!! just tried out last sunday, and I harvest a lot of blackhead.

Actually I'm inspired by the elsagusa collagen blackhead remover, but they sell it really expensive, in malaysia it is like 3g for around RM30! so I try the same elsagusa method with my meiji amino collagen, and it works too!

Just too happy to tell everyone about my new discovery... hehe :D

I just disolve a little bit of collagen powder in water to make a sticky substance, then apply it on cleaned skin and put on a small piece of oil absorbant paper on top of it, wait until it's dry then pull out the paper in reverse direction of hair growth, then we can see the blackhead standing on the paper.

Read from other forum, if before the blackhead extraction, wash our face with warm water or steam it a bit then the result will be even better...
