  1. Lipolysis    Lipolysis is a medical procedure of melting and removing unwanted fatty deposits on the body. This procedure can change the shape of our bodies and faces.   [sharedmedia=gallery:images:9679] [sharedmedia=gallery:images:9678] [sharedmedia=gallery:images:9677]   Which parts of the body are the most common for lipolysis application? Lipolysis is commonly used on parts of the body that can’t be adequately shaped with persistent training or diet. Usually those are thighs, hips, stomach, arms and double chin.   What substances are used during the treatment?  Substances used for lipolysis treatment are 5% Phosphatidylcholine and Deoxycholate, enzymes that are in use for several years now, applied intravenously to incite liver to clean the blood from the fats, and to prevent fat embolism. During application, active substances lead to cracking of the membranes of fat cells in the treated zone and to outpouring of their content into the surrounding tissue. From there, in a natural way, via the bloodstream, the fat is transported to the liver and gets thrown out of our organism. It is necessary to emphasize that this procedure doesn’t change the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.   How long is the lipolysis treatment in use?  The listed active substances are used in aesthetic medicine for reshaping the body and the face with great success since 1995.   What does a lipolysis treatment looks like?  A lipolysis treatment consists of lipolytic (phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate) application with microinjections directly into the fatty tissue of the treated region. The procedure of the lipolytic application itself is painless but after 15 minutes of the application a sense of itching, redness and swelling of the treated region appears. After two hours redness and pain disappear and the swelling can last up to two weeks after the treatment. In the next 6 to 8 weeks there is some sensitivity when the treated fatty tissue is pressed. The treatment effect is observed one month after the application and the final effect comes after two months.   How long does the lipolysis treatment last?  Lipolysis treatment lasts from 20 to 30 minutes and enables the continuation of the usual daily activities right after the intervention.   Is there an advantage to lipolysis compared to liposuction?  Yes. The advantage of lipolysis compared to liposuction is that bumps and fibrosis can’t appear on the treated parts of the body, if the lipolytic is adequately applied.   How many treatments are required?  One region is treated with 3 to 4 treatments until the wanted effect is achieved. The process of fatty cells breakdown is slow and the lipolytic affects the skin in such a way that makes it more firm and doesn’t allow an excess of skin to appear after the fat loss. Depending on the amount of fatty tissue on the  patient’s body, sometimes only one treatment is enough.   Are there any complications during or after the treatment?  During the treatment bruises may occur and that’s why it is advised to pause with taking substances that dilute the blood, like Andol, Acetisal, Ginkgo biloba, Vitamin E. An occurrence of painful nodules is usual and transient and it is a consequence of an inflammatory process that develops when fat is dissolved. Three days after the treatment, massages and the usual exercises may begin. It is recommended to drink from 1.5 to 2 liters of fluids a day.   Is the lipolysis treatment permanent?  The effect is permanent in persons who do not gain weight again. There is a loss of 1 to 10 cm in volume depending on the treated region. About 6% of the population doesn’t adequately react to phosphatidylcholine and so in these patients the effect is reduced.   For persons allergic to soy and vitamin B, lipolysis treatments are not recommended.   Our clinic located at Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur.   Kindly contact Ms Melissa for more info.  *_^  016-3916311 (Wechat & Whatsapp available) melissa.aesthetic@gmail.com
