  1. No but I went for needle-brasion before at Lim Wye Leng's clinic. I did it once. Actually it has to be repeated for a number of times to see noticeable effects but I was not free after that.
  2. Hi, I notice that you don't mention sunscreen. I posted a reply to you in the SKII pinned-up thread. Now that I look at your skincare regimen, I think your sun-sensitivity is probably a result of the Facial Treatment Lotion that has AHA and BHA in it. You may want to decrease its usage to every other day and include a good sunscreen in your regimen.
  3. I will say no. I am not sure if the NuSkin range you are using has AHA but if it does, there is more reason not to exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub everyday. Your skin is already tender and the apricot bits have rough edges don't they? Even though they are tiny, they feel sandpaper-ish. I will not advise using it because even if you are very gentle, the sharp edges of the apricot kernels can create micro cuts in your skin. It may affect the texture of your skin on the long run. I used to use St. Ives Apricot Scrub many years ago. Now when I look back, I think that I should have done my research more. There are many better options out there, scrubs that remove dead skin without needing much friction.
  4. I agree with dazzlingme. During the daytime, adequate sun protection. Pile on the sunscreen.
  5. Try reintroducing the products one-by-one into your skincare routine. That way you not only can find out which product is causing you problems but you also give your skin time to adjust to something new. I have used their PHA serum before. I did not break out from it but because it's too filmy for my preference, I stopped using it.

I was thinking of the sun-protection factor too. ihara8212 and winniethepooh, do you wear sunscreen everyday? You need a good one -- preferably with at least SPF30 and a PA+++ UVA rating. If I remember correctly, SKII Facial Treatment Lotion has malic acid and salicylic acid in it. Both are exfoliants that remove old cells and expose the new layers to the surface. Ineffective sun protection can darken those new patches of skin. A friend of my mom said that the uneven (dark-and-fair) patches on her cheeks were a result of not protecting her new skin from the sun after going through chemical peels. Just to share with you. Malic acid is a form of AHA.

  8. Hmm, their cosmetics are mentioned in this thread a few times. Last time I used to try drugstore foundations. Revlon's old liquid is alright. But Maybelline... their foundation is bad. Oxidisation. Poor holding power. If your lips turn black, it is very likely the result of artificial dyes (coal derivatives) in the lip product. If you see stuff like "D & C No. 5," or "Yellow F. No. 6" (for instance) in the ingredient list that means that the pigments used in that cosmetic are not pure minerals but artificial coal-derived dyes. Such dyes are widely used in skincare and cosmetic products. I personally dislike using products with artificial dyes in them because some can stain your skin on the long run or break you out. I'd rather mix minerals in a lipbalm and create my own lip colour. Everyday Minerals sell lipsticks too. If you want the convenience of a mineral-based lip product, you can purchase from them. I am sure other MMU companies offer this as well. This is how minerals will look like in an ingredient list: zinc oxide (CI 12345, CI 38475), iron oxide (CI 87293), ultramarine (CI 29384), CI 98799, CI 98970. 9. Agree. It's a multi-purpose mask. On the packaging it says in Mandarin, "... can thoroughly cleanse the deepest layer of skin, remove dead cells from the epidermis, hydrate, firm up, "change skin" ("huan hu" -- sorry don't know what it means in English). Is effective in changing skin condition, prevent ageing, reduce wrinkles etc etc." You can go to SaSa and read the description on the box. My Mandarin is not good enough for full translation. If you don't want to buy it after viewing it, put it down, look around and walk out of the shop. I know many people don't like the SAs. If you walk around it's more difficult for them to lock you down.
  10. I don't count. *smiley with teeth showing* I usually buy what I think or feel I need. I also get buyer remorse sometimes so it leads to seeking for alternatives (thus, buying more). So far I try not to exceed RM200 for a particular product unless it's very good (worth it). Next time I will keep a check.
  11. 1. Niu Er has several range of skincare/cosmetic products: Beauty DIY, @Nature, and Skincology. There is also something else called "ColorCology" but this is makeup. So far, I don't know if he has added anything but those 3 I mentioned above are the main ones. The products you saw on the website maybe Beauty DIY's but it can also be other range's. You have to see their names. 2. Yes 3. If those Niu Er products are categorized under NRWZD in the websites, it's because that show has featured his products before. 4. They are from Taiwan.
  12. Pola 1/f Suncut Milk SPF30 PA+++ (good reviews on MakeupAlley.com) Price: RM75 for 60ml Counter Location: Point B! at Summit USJ
  13. Never shopped at eBay Malaysia but once at Lelong. User interface for the latter is indeed not friendly. I had to figure out where to check my order status. However, security is very tight and they provide the "middle-man" option for buyers and sellers to do business through. If you don't trust your seller, go through that option (I forgot the name for it already) and the staff concerned will check the items for you. Hmm, but they do earn money out of it right ? Smart.

It's best to use your fingers to blend it into your skin. Sponging is a waste; the product gets absorbed into the sponge so money is wasted.
