1. Hi Everyone, If you wish to learn Professional make-up / Professional Beauty Therapist Course I would recommend Enya School Of Beauty. I'm the ex-student, graduated 4 years ago but until today I still think they are the best ever Academy in town. Reason is because their course fee is reasonable, affordable, include necessary products & accessories, no hidden cost, nice enviroment, great teachers and what most important is now their package is include 3 certification which is International - City & Guilds(UK), Local Government - Malaysian Skill Development (SKM) and their very own Enya School certificate. Their Academy has been rated " Best" Academy by Malaysian Skill Development and they also a centre which approved by Ministry of Home Affairs to recruite foreign students too. You may go find out yourself for more information. Name of Academy : Enya School of Beauty Location : 10-B,10-C, Jalan Ss15/4D, Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. My sister just enroll with Enya School of Beauty after strong recommandation from me, their price now is RM7,999 still like before include all products & tools but now even better include International City & Guilds, Local Government SKM 1 and Enya School certification. This make it easyier at least don't have to think want to take certification or not. Many of my friends in this industries do not have certification, this make them less fortunate to find a good job. They now realise that how inportant the certificate it is if wanted to have better offer. Well...everyone should know our world now days without proper certificate is hard to compete with those having. Big organization always will pick someone with certificate instate of none. I'm now happy with the job and soon will be posted to Hong Kong. My advice to those wanted to go into beauty industries, please get your certification unless you just wanted your life to be the same as wha you are doing now.
hi yuwen , u graduated from enya ?? well , i dono much about enya but seems many ppl suggest this academy ! i want to take a professional make up .. can u tell me more about enya ? =) i asked sense n style b4 n its so exp , so i don1 to choose it !! im so confuse now =( dono which academy better . need ppl's professional suggest ~ n i knew Mode , Face Image , Snips , Sense n style and Enya .. do u knw their info ?? which one better n why ?? thanks =)
Hi Louis Wong, sorry for the late reply as I was so busy last month, never had chance to serve web. Well...to answer ur question, my answer is still I will choose Enya School of Beauty, reason very simple :- 1) I only have less than RM5,000 including everything like products and accessories to enroll in an academy during my selection and ESOB is the only academy siute my budget. 2) I don't have to worry of futher spending of unknow amount of money after enrollment. 3) I like their friendly way of talking to me during my enquiry. They never hide anything, even I don't ask (should said I don't know what to ask), they also will let me know what I should expect, what I will get, what I will learn, what I can become and how to achieve it. 4) I like the academy enviroment, area is near to my house, very convenience..... Now I'm doing well in Make-up industry, all my investment in this course already taken back long time ago, thanks to the low course fee, can recover the investment fast. I've been to some of those Academy you mention but at last I select ESOB and I never regret of it. My advice to you still is :- - Select the one that you like most base on your budget and convenience. - Don't select those academy where you must paid more for their famous name. - Achievement is base on every individual, not all can do well in this industry even they came out from well know academy. - Don't choose those Academy never share enough information to you. They got nothing good to share that's why keeping quiet better.

It says that it sents the make up tutor to japan to update the latest make up styles. Not sure whether is true or not though.
Hi Alexislim, I'm graduate from Enya School of Beauty now working as part time MUA. 3 years ago before I join Enya I went to SUB (Imbi) but never sign up with them reason is because : 1. Expensive course fee. 2. Sharing use of products 3. Didn't cover all necessary tools. 4. Always I ask they answer, I don't ask they don't tell. (hidden cost) Looking at the subject they teach is very limited even you sign up the RM7,000 course. In my blog I always promote Enya is because I think its really worth the price. I was told the fee for professional make-up course in Enya now has gone up to RM5,999 and it will go up again by this Nov. You can do your survey first before signing up with any of the Academy. Bottom line is, it must worth our investment. Over paid doesn't mean can be a very good MUA, it's all up to how each individual person can absorb.

Congradulatioon hippidido, happy right? feel sad also right? I know how you feel as I felt the same way last year too. But this year the graduation party is much better than last year, I know because I've attended my friend graduation last Saturday, she bring her whole family and book a table for that. She is so happy and thank me many time because I recommanded her the school. Her parents so proud of her when they saw her wearing robe receiving certificate from the principal Enya Lee. The whole night everyone is so excited, can see many parents taking photos with their daughter. I agreed with what you said Enya School of Beauty is really the best choice but still got people doubt about their qualification. What to do, no one will believe still can get good price with good service (but now their course fee has increase a bit, to me is still cheaper than others).

Ever since SLDN program ended middle of last year many people didn't get their RM300 subsidy anymore. I wonder when the Govt will start another subsidy program again? Few of my friends is interested to take up this course.

QUOTE (kiko1050 @ Aug 9 2009, 07:27 PM) hi yuwen.kiko1050 here.i'm a newbie in this forum. i so interest for enya school of beauty. did i knw tat any charges for the prof.makeup course?like register fee? coz my frenz told me tat she pay rm7++ for the register fee.and rm 600 for sldn registration.is tat true? se apply for the sldn on march...n she told me tat she never receive any $$ frm government?y ar??? Hi kiko1050,I've answer your question hope you understand. Just to explaine to others about the RM600 charges on SLDN appilcation in Enya School of Beauty actually is because in SLDN level 1 & level 2 exam we must know facial & make-up, if you only chose make-up course ESOB still must teach you knowledge about facial, if you chose facial ESOB also must teach you make-up. So...because of this they have to charge a minimum fee of RM500 to cover back their cost of products, tools, accessories and knowledge given to you at least you don't have to paid another RM5,399 for another course. Of course if paid RM500 what you learn will only be a basic knowledge compare to paying full price to study. SLDN subsidy will take about 3 month to approve, so your friend might be getting it soon if she register in March, mine also took more than 3 month to get it and it also not consistance, it happen earlier I don't received it for 4 month but once the Goverment paid is 4 month together.

Hi Serene, Those subject you list down all being teach in Enya School of Beauty infact is more than that. The course fee is much lesser and straight forward not so confusing. I would suggest you visit Enya School of Beauty to have better understanding + do comparetion. In term of which cert is more importance is also up to which Academy you enroll, but JPK cert (MLVK previous name) if you wish to started your own business in future this cert is a 'MUST' to take, otherwise you won't be able to register the business under your name.

QUOTE (andox @ Jul 25 2009, 12:39 PM) Hi I already taken a beauty course at top to toe in pg few years back and already have skm1 cert, for skm2 and 3 i only needed to pay extra rm2400 to get them( it's a bit expensive for me so i didnt pay). I also have taken a nail arcylic course at APT last year. IMHO the service there sucks and they ask you to buy things. The worst is at first when attending the classes i'm allowed to park in front of the building but as soon as I have finished the course with them when i returned to take my cert they dont allowed me to park there even for a while. What a realistic world is it! My question here is i wanna learn more about nail art. It's it covered by the sLDN grant? which centre can i go to? Hope you all can help. Is there any centre in penang? Have a nice day. please help please help Hi Andox, SLDN subsidy stop on 16th July, due to last minite inform, many of the Academy unable to submit their students application on time, so many people unable to get the funding. Talking about those Academy you enroll having this problem actually is not a new things la. In this forum many people has complain & informed about it maybe you've miss it earlier.

Wanna say thanks to all of you. Do you mind I am asking a question? How 'bout 'pick a brush' make up academy? I like to choosing this because it nearby my home, in Kuchai Lama. Hi, for all MBF information if you'll wish to apply SLDN subsidy RM300 now this program Govt has temparary stop until further notice. You don't have to come out with anymore money unless those items given is finished than you have to buy again + can choose the buy any brand you like. The course fee do not cover the International & local Govertment cert. Basically all Academy do not cover the certificate/exam fee, because is option wether you want to take the certificate or not ma! My advice to you is go and visit any Academy you think you like to enroll and ask more questions, if you read this forum right from page 1 you will know why I said so. We cannot judge the book by the cover must read the content otherwise you will regret later.
