  1. hey girls, why dont you try Aveda Mask, my sister had tried it before and it help to control the oil on the face. good luck!
  2. There's also a shop in Ikano that sells Masquerade masks. I don't know what's the shop's name but they sell a lot of party stuffs, located on the LG floor I think. Happy hunting!
  3. I read In Style US version, Harper's Bazaar and Female. Love them, like catalogues for me..
  4. Hi Greenbeast, Definitely cheaper in France compared to Malaysia, though I am not sure by how much.. England is cheaper too! I bought a Minilin Speedy from London for around RM1900 (after VAT etc), while they are selling the same one here in Malaysia for RM2650. That's a lot of difference if you ask me. It's worth buying there if you happen to go there or if you have a friend who can get them for you.
  5. Hi Miyako, Since you worked at a bra counter before, you should know the right way of putting on a bra. I remember when I was in form 1, a representative from Triumph International came to our school to teach us how to properly put on bras. I really didn't know the need to do it the right way until I left school (guess I'm a late bloomer )
  6. Hi Kinkynun, Lashes from MAC or Shu Uemura is in the range of RM35 - RM 50 depending on the design really, those that come with diamantees or colors may cost more. Cheers!

    looking sexy

For me, it's always about confidence babe!
  8. Hi Eunice, the dress in the Flickr link you gave is nice, but I don't think wearing white to a wedding is a good idea. You don't want to steal the limelight from your cousin, the bride right? Maybe in different colors? Neon colors like teal, blue, yellow is in right now. Check out magazines like Harper's Bazaar or In Style. March issue features a lot of dresses especially those that are worn by celebrities to award shows. Just an idea. Hope it helps!
  9. Hi Ingrid, Did you even read the whole content of Wen's post? It DOES harm other people if not yourself in one way or another. I also beg to differ on your sentiment that it damages the ego of a 'real-deal' carrier because they are not so special after all. To me, if I spot a girl carrying a fake handbag that looks just like my original piece, I would be very proud and flash it away as if saying 'hey, I can afford the real one and that means I have achieved something and celebrate it with this bag'. I do feel funny sometimes that other people would be so pathetic to get a fake one just because. It is also good that the value doesn't depreciate, that way you don't feel bad after owning it for some time. When I was in school and couldn't really afford a designer bag, I didn't really bother. Usually took me few months of school allowance to save up and I used it for makeup or something else more important. But now that I am capable of earning steady income, I splurge! Thanks Wen for bringing this up.. It's something I feel strongly about.
  10. Hi Kinkynun, What a name... hehehe.. Anyway, I love faux/false/fake lashes... Without them, I don't feel as if my makeup is complete. I always go for either Shu Uemura or MAC lashes. For me, Shu Uemura's lashes are great for dramatic, party or 'crazy' looks and MAC has got more 'natural' lashes. If you go to the makeup counters and get them, the makeup artist should be able to show/teach you on how to apply the lashes. The first few attempts are always disappointing but after a few tries, you can get them on perfectly. It used to take me about 20 minutes to apply lashes but now, it's only about 5 minutes. If you get a good glue, it shouldn't give you allergy but I am no expert so I'm not promising anything. So far I've been using Shu Uemura's lash adhesive and they are great! Beware though, if you are not used to having false lashes, you may feel that your eyelids are a bit heavier.. Oh and you should apply your lashes after you curl your natural lashes, apply mascara and apply eyeliner. Here's a youtube link of tutorial on applying fake lashes
  11. Hi Jenni, I visited the website and their collection is not bad at all. Especially the faux lashes.. You know what's the price range like?
  12. Hi Shan2, a cocktail & a ball are both formal... But usually Cocktail party is a party where cocktails are served, like a little gathering before a dinner party. Whereas a ball is more formal where you have a sit-down-7-course dinner. To be on a safe side, look at the invitation card to the ball or cocktail that you are invited to and check the dress code. Some are not stated but the party title may give you ideas on how to dress up. For cocktail, a short decent dress is a good choice, and for ball, think about long dresses. Visit BCBG's website, may give you ideas on the difference. Hope that helps!
  13. I totally agree with Cas.. The age difference between me and my husband is 16 years and we get along really well.. In fact, better than my previous relationship of about 3 years difference.
  14. Hi Bheema, you may also try Biotherm (Not sure the range name but it's blue color)... I also recommend Loreal Pure zone (Cheaper option). I used to have very very oily skin and my skin tends to get breakout whenever I eat oily food or right before that time of the month, but since using Loreal, it has become better. Maybe you'd like to try that.. Share with us your experience.
  15. Hi Steph, I suggest that you go to your favorite make up counter (for me, either Shu Uemure or MAC) and with the money you put aside for make up course, buy a complete set of make up and get their in-house make up artist to show you how to put them on... Some of them may not give you tricks or tips, you can always watch youtube for this... Like how to create smokey look, rainbow color or even dramatic ones. Most of the time, the make up course can buy you a whole set of make up and tools like brushes, curler etc... Just a suggestion. Hope that helps.
