Wow, I wonder what did I say to get the "warning bar". But seriously. Come on, 'despite paying it still grows' is like 10 - 8 = 12.
2.
Yup yup I pay on average around RM500 for my cc bills because of over using it since I got it last 2 years ago. I think it's still under control *touch wood*. But it's crap to know that despite paying it still grows, hmpf!
Despite paying it still grows. That's NOT 'under control'. 3. I live in KL. I earn below 3.5k after deductions. I don't stay with parents. I pay my own rents. I pay my own food, and everything else. I'm not single, I cover my gf's expenses when she's with me during the weekends. Yet I save about 1k a month. I don't have fancy-pantsy car to hit the clubs on each weekend and drink like what-they-think-is-like a hero. I don't go out with Ralph Lauren polo tee with unfolded collar (seriously, guys? unfolded collar? that's kool spelt with K) But I bought a house. More than RM250k. Without anyone's help. Bite me. Interested? I'll only tell if any of you is truly interest. Coz most likely you wont be able (discipline) to do what I do to save.. so I guess no point telling. It will fall on deaf ears anyway.
4. Mortgage broker is one way of doing it. Either way, like what I did, just walk into different banks, get their package. However whatever it is, it won't matter UNTIL you actually bought the house and submit loan applications to banks. You may get surprised that certain banks will offer you lower than what they initially mentioned, vice versa, as each bank's credit analysis is different. Apply to as much banks as possible, then only sit-down to compare their offer. No point talking empty and at the end of the day apply to 1 or 2 banks that you THINK is the best. Don't do that. Compare ONLY with solid offers. I used to think Public Bank will be among the best. But apparently they have a very lousy credit appraising system, which i will only tel if any of you are interested. I got the best rate from OCBC, 2nd best was UOB, 3rd was I think Hong Leong (can't remember). CIMB darn low...
5.
Can someone help me in finding a good university where I can complete a Ph.D. through distance learning? I can't attend a regular univerity but would like to complete a doctorate program. Are there any such universities in Malaysian or Singapore? I would like an accreditated one, not just any university. Since I am new to this region, I would really appreciate some help. Thank you.
How come you can't attend a regular one? It's definitely tougher to do it online...
6. See, there's always cost in carrying out a business. For example, staff cost, building rental etc. In Singapore, the property is expensive, so the rental is high, and say a lecturer asking for $5,000 salary. It will be factored into the tuition fee they charge YOU. For a similar course to be conducted in Malaysia. Rental is so much cheaper, and lecturer of the same sandard maybe only RM6,000 salary. Therefore you dont need to pay so much for the tuition fee in Singapore, cheaper in Malaysia.

Mamak Lovers

I darn well boycott mamak. Firstly, they can't do tea half right, they can't even do tea that's not overly sweet. 2nd, they're over-priced, same portion of food choices you'll probably get better in mixed rice. 3rd, they can't cook curry that doesn't kill the taste of the meat. (To those mamak lover, try to close your eyes and differentiate which is lamb/beef/venison)
9. As you can see there's not many institutions offering degree in finance that's delivered part-time simply because there's not much market for it. Master in Finance yes, but not much market for Bachelor in Finance, simply because those who does part time prefer, in general, business admin or management.
10. It's not how much BETTER you can get from organic food. It's about eating MUCH LESS BAD non-organic food. Seriously, you have no idea how BAD is the non-organic food. The chemicals and everything...
11. I agree with Bel that FT.com tabled a good rankings of MBA programs across the globe. You can find some distance learning program there, notable ones include Manchester (if you wan Manchester, just go to Sunway), Imperial College, Bradford. Maastricht is no longer with MIM, MIM now runs RMIT. But last I heard from the Director, they've got the license to run Bradford MBA in MIM, need to get further verification on that. I quite like Bradford. Thinking of doing that myself.
12. BDO Binders It's somewhat out of big 4, but's it's like the 5th or 6th... located Jalan Sultan Ismail

Jogoya

I'm all good with Jogoya, well that's coz I've strong stomach. My gf had diarhea after Jogoya. But seriously... Jogoya isn't great at all, I went there with buy-1-free-1, yet I felt money wasted. The spread is good.. alot of food, but no point if they don't taste nice. Dessert and pastry looked really pretty, but i'm guessing the pastry chefs were too busy making the dessert pretty and forgot to make them taste nice. Well... it's up to you...
14. Well, depends on what do you mean by "course", if you need a quick entrance to the industry, then what Kien Ling posted is great. If what you meant by "course" is the 1st degree that you wanna secure. I would probably say try degree in Event Planning. Basically the skills acquired are the fundamentals to events, although not necessary specific to Wedding. Thing is... with that of course your safety net is sort of wider. Depends what you want.
